"Single white female," meets "Dying to belong."

At times this movie was scary, but other times it was funny how stupid the people are in it. The only person that acts somewhat normal is Shannon Dorethy. I think that not putting to much scare into the movie made it scary. The scene when Heather walks in on Zahn in bed with Heather's boyfriend is so unbelievable. Why would Zahn kiss her boyfriend when Heather was standing there after she catched them. Zahn was looking at her when she did it. Then the next day, Zahn said it was a mistake and to forgive her. I'm surprised Heather couldn't figure out Zahn was psycho from the start. The movie is very slow which makes it seem like it lasts forever but I must say "It will hook you." 2 out of 5

    You men don't get it!

This is simply a chick flick. And not any old chick. Women in their 30s who watched 90210 religiously. It's great to see Brenda play another character. For once, she's not the evil one! If you note carefully, the blonde in this movie played Brenda's friend on one episode of 90. They must have really hit it off making fun of Tori! Sure, this is a flu movie. But it's also a movie for women like me who have had too long of a day, and just want to drink a bottle of wine, and relive the good old times, when none of us worked. Plus, we all secretly want to ruin the lives of our coworkers and people prettier than us. I find it funny that all the people trashing this movie seemed to have watched it the whole way through. They must have liked something about it.

    shannon sings

i never really knew that Shannon Doherty could sing that well, now i'm a guy and her singing just totally blew my doors off, it's something that i would actually listen to. This movie is about competition,, from early childhood, all the way up to adult life,, 2 girls compete for practically everything,, talent shows , the works,, then one day the other girl,, the one who is always 2nd place she has a nervous breakdown on stage and loses very badly. now years pass, and they say that time heals all wounds,, right,,,, wrong,, the girl now has a different identity, she says her parents were killed in the plane crash and sets out to destroy the girl that made her childhood a living nightmare. the it girl,, played by shannon doherty is all grown up with her own band,,trying to make it big on the new rock n roll scene,, soon her rival will weasel her way into the band and into her life to unleash a very unhealthy dose of vengeance.

    addicting

all of the acting in this movie is mediocre at best, but it is one of the most addictive movies i have ever seen. since it is practically on a loop over at vh1, i have seen it at least 3 times.

frankly, neither shannen nor jennifer have great voices, but that is why it is so funny. the plot is really obvious from the beginning, and it is pretty trite. again, that is part of the charm.

shannen doherty is one of my least favorite 'actresses,' but she is so bad in this that it is wonderful. this is one of the best made for tv movies because it takes lame plots, one sided characters, and easily forseeable plot twists from all other movies before it.

i would recommend this when you are sick or bored, but it really needs no recommendation because it will suck you in.

One of the best Shannen-movie ever!

okay, I just had to write a comment on this movie. I really liked the whole "jellous-at-the-better" idea. I haven't seen this subject before and I like it. Shannen was a great acteress and if it was she singing, which i doubt, it was good. This movie is high on the Shannen Doherty-list.
