poor vampirella what is she doing in this mess

i used to have a lot of the old vampirella magazines years ago so i was really looking forward to seeing this movie version of the worlds hottest vampire.oh my god was i ever let down after watching this real bad b movie.i wasn't expecting Alaska but i wasn't expecting this.and to add insult to injury roger daltry playing vlad.hahahaha what a joke.the only good thing about this movie is the sexy and lovely talisa soto.this lady is so hot that you will be able to watch this movie just because of her.i know her costume is cheesy and is different from the one in the comics.but come on guys if she came to your house wearing that costume would you complain.i didn't think so.one more thing the 4 rating is only because of her.

Not As Bad As You Might Imagine!

Vampires from outer space that are honourable citizens and no longer kill to feed themselves! Vlad (Roger Daltrey) - a renegade vampire, kills Vampirella's father and flees to Earth and joins nasty vamps as we better know them. Vampirella pursues him in seek of revenge. Sounds trashy? Yes it does! However, while this film will never rank amongst one of the great classics, it does provide 80 minutes worth of mindless viewing that is not entirely unsatisfying. Talisa Soto (Vampirella), apart from being a stunning beauty, carries this film quite well often with a semblance of some good acting skills. Roger Daltrey is Roger Daltrey. Some of the support acting is scarily awful at times but, as B Movies go, this is not the worst I have seen by far.

fast-paced fun!

When I was a child I religiously read FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND and,when my mom wasn't looking,VAMPIRELLA.I was curious about this movie when I heard of it,although I'd heard it sucked.When I saw it was to be on cable I eagerly watched it.I wasn't disappointed!It was fast-paced,sexy fun,just like the comic.A sequel?

Vampirella Sucks!

Everyone know what Vampirella is supposed to look like. If you don't know a quick image search on Google will tell you. You'll find many examples in both fan-art and cosplay. It's blood red and comes down from the top on both sides to a very low cut bottom with a gold bat. But that's not what she looks like in this C-Movie. They have her in a cheap red PVC two-piece with suspenders that a dancer in a third-rate topless bar wouldn't be caught undead in, that looks like a bad Halloween knock-off of a Vampareilla costume. I guess they spent all the wardrobe budget and most the rest of the movie's budget on getting Daltry to do the movie, after telling him, "You'll be the star of the worst movie ever made!" didn't work. Bad writing, bad lighting, bad fighting, bad acting, bad directing, zero production values. I can't say enough bad things about this movie. Watch it for laughs.

I have to say this is one of the worst movies ive seen in my life. This is just a bad bad bad bad b-movie.The lines were horrible with lines such as "Holy Crap" and "You're too sexy!" you just had to cringe as these things came out of their lives. the Acting was also bad, over enthusiasm and coldness was just the tip of the ice berg. The story was just crummy why couldn't they have based it more on the current storyline of the comic? nope they chose the crummy 60's story about vampires from outer space? Not to mention the costume she wore HELLO?! this is not the same costume from the cover. The stunts were just horrid and fake, plus who did the editing on this crummy movie? Please do yourself a favor save your money and use the two hours on something worthwhile like reading a book.

Jim Wynorski talked about the movie being a disaster and how Talisa Soto was totally wrong for the role in a 2017 interview: "My take on Vampirella is that it's a mess. The last time I watched it was to do the commentary which was awhile ago. It's a film I cannot watch. Everything went wrong. Everything! I like Talisa Sota as a human being. She's very pretty and she's very sexy. But she's not Vampirella. They forced me to use her. She just didn't have the body for the costume. Roger Daltry was great. But, yeah, it was in Vegas. There was embezzlement on the set. It was really a nasty, nasty picture to work on. And it came out badly, too. So, I'm just saying that's one that I look at and say, it could have been and it wasn't...I should have had Julie Strain. But they didn't think Julie Strain meant anything. So they put somebody wrong in the role. I should have stopped and said let's just not do this. But, I was going to lose the rights in 6 months, so I did what I had to do. At least, I got the film made. But I should have said no."
