One of Sunny Deol's best performances!

(Sunny Deol) plays Karan who is the dreaded hit-man for underworld don Gajraj Choudhary (Amrish Puri). One such criminal activity of Karan's brings him in an encounter with Sidhart Sharma (Alok Nath), and his daughter Kajal (Karisma Kapoor). During this encounter, Karan is mesmerized by Kajal, and falls in love with her.

Initially Kajal shuns Karan's approach towards her, but with time and help from a little orphan named Time Pass (Master Mohsin), Kajal also starts loving Karan, and because of this love, Karan decides to start a new life with Kajal and leave his past life. Sidhart Sharma who is totally against the relationship decides to get Kajal married to his childhood friend Ramakant Sahay's (Dalip Tahil) son Raju (Salman Khan), who has just come from abroad, and coincidentally is also madly in love with Kajal.

Kajal is left with the Dilemma of having to sacrifice her love for Karan, in order to satisfy her father, and marry Raju who doesn't know about the relationship between Karan and Kajal. Kajal decides to forget Karan and marry Raju to satisfy her father. When Karan knows about the marriage he swears that there will be a funeral full of corpses instead of the marriage. On the day of marriage, he goes to kill Raju but at the last moment, he realizes that if he kills Raju, Kajal will be sad forever, so he decides not to kill him. There is nothing now in Karan's life that is worth living for so, he goes back to his past life as a criminal.

When Raju comes to know that his father is associated with Gajraj Choudhary, he becomes a threat to the underworld, and he has to be killed and it is Karan who is hired to kill Raju without knowing that he is Kajal's husband. When he comes to know that Raju is Kajal's husband, he refuses to kill him and instead, he starts saving him every time they try to kill him.

Will Karan succeed in saving Raju's life? What will happen when Raju knows about the former relationship between Karan and Kajal? What will Gajraj Choudhary do when he knows that his hit-man is saving his enemy's life? Watch Jeet to know the answers!

Recommended for every Hindi movie fans. 9 out of 10.

    Engrossing, Moving, Entertaining

In this action-filled drama, Sunny Deol plays Karan, a hired gun for the local crime lord. When planning to beat up Kajal's father, he sees her and instantly falls in love with her. Kajal ( Karisma Kapoor) hates Karan at first, but gradually falls in love with him as well. Her father, not knowing her secret, arranges a marriage for KajAL with Raju (Salman Khan), a family friend. When Raju crosses the same crime lord, Karan is hired to kill Raju and the unexpected happens.

This film is engrossing, sometimes moving, and always entertaining. It is quite violent, not atypical for Bollywood, and contains some impressive musical numbers. Deol is fantastic in his role, and is especially chilling as a killer. Khan was a bit over-the-top in his interpretation of Raju, but was as charming as ever. Kapoor played her emotional scenes spectacularly well.

Overall, this is an excellent film and well worth watching for Bollywood fans.

Jeet is a winner all the way with a power performance from Sunny deol

This is one of the major films that made me love Sunny deol. Jeet excels in all fronts from cinematography, background score, performances and great dialogues. The overall music is mediocre at best except the beautiful solo picturized on Tabu and the first duet of Sunny and Karisma (My most favourite).

Sunny deol is the undisputed star of this magnus opus. His emotional scenes, his screams, his powerful action and melodrama. He is simply pure MAGIC!! Hats off to this brilliant jat. I was surprised he didn't get a Best Actor nomination at the Filmfare that year for Jeet, though he did get for Ghatak. It should have been Best Actor Nomination for Ghatak/Jeet. This was an unforgettable from him.

Salman Khan is a surprise package. Although his entry into the fore is sometimes annoying and overtop (especially some of his funny scenes with Karisma)...But then towards the climax, he simply explodes in the melodramatic and serious scenes giving a delightful performance coupled with his irresistible charm that rightly earned him the filmfare nomination of Best Actor in a supporting role.

Karisma is okay. Her scenes with Sunny and then later Salman are brilliant and equally convincing, although she overacts in some parts as usual and hams. But then her beauty is golden as always.

The rest of the cast are okay and don't forget Tabu in a memorable performance as a courtesan.

A brilliant extravaganza all in all. Watch it for Sunny deol, Salman Khan and Raj kanwar's exceptional direction. Paisa vasool

    Would've run those days...

Jeet is meant to be a multi entertainer - Love, drama, action, music - all in one.

Story is about a a goon who decides to turn over new leaf when he falls in love with a dancer, but when circumstances turn him away from her, things take a different turn for everyone.

The acting and dialog delivery is good, specially on Sunny Deol and Amrish Puri's part. The music is good, so is the cinematography, some action sequences.

There is some degree of overacting and unbelievable stuff, especially towards the end. Maybe those days people would've liked it...but not anymore.

This film is good for Suny Deol's fans

You can't miss it for Sunny

It's a beautiful movie that showed what Sunny Deol can do with a movie if the script really allows him to be in his element. It's a decent movie that possibly gets 6.5 stars but the extra 1.5 star for the sterling performance by Sunny Deol.
