Very classic Italian romantic comedy that makes you laugh and entertain. All in all, the film is very nice even if the comedy has aged a little and does not look as good as it was when it came out.
Thus movie is a very light romantic comedy, that has a good story. It transports you to that little town and even helps you relate with every character in the movie. I just loved it. It also shows how even a small thing ( the broken sign) can affect the lives of so many people. US movies don't take risks and are very shallow
Very, very sweet movie, sweet characters, sweet love story. If you were looking for an Italian version of Twister then you're out of luck, cause I don't think you'll ever find one, if you want some light-hearted entertainment this is the place to look. The jokes in this are actually funny, rather than the slapstick style of some other recent "comedies" (see: There's Something About That Bimbo Cameron Diaz). The settings are beautiful, the acting ain't bad at all, the characters are fun. (Notice that there ARE actual characters in this, as in, they could be real people, not the one-sided stereotypes of There's Something Wrong With This Movie.) Really, it's much funnier than a lot of those dopey two-hour come shots disguised as "comedy movies" you stupid Americans keep churning out. Viva Italiana!
Levante Guarini (Leonardo Pieraccioni, also director) lives in a sleepy town in Italy, where nothing ever happens. Then one day a bus with six beautiful flamenco dancers from Spain arrive and nothing is the same.Il Ciclone from 1996 is a terribly funny Italian comedy.I found myself laughing at loud more than once.I watched it in the Italian class with a group of other students on Monday last week and I noticed I wasn't the only one laughing. Some of the moments that made me laugh were the awkward moments Levante had with his love interest Caterina (Lorena Forteza). Also the language barrier between the Italians and the Spanish offers some funny moments. This movie is a gem of European cinema. The Italians got it.You just watch this film and you'll come to the same conclusion; the Italians got it.

I'm not the kind of love film guy, but I enjoyed this movie very much. I haven't seen an Italian film since long and it impressed me by its typical latin feeling, live passion and even humour. And I'm very happy that I found in this movie a song that I've been looking for since many years but I didn't know it's name.

- GoofsIn the Italian original version, almost all Spanish characters (flamenco dancers), when speaking in Spanish, make a lot of mistakes, showing clearly that they are not at all native speakers (although they are supposed not to speak Italian either). The accent is more or less correct, but it all sounds strange and disturbing to a native speaker.
