    Very Poor Quality

Although the plot seemed to be interesting (and thus worth renting for a watch through) but I found this film to be very bad. It seemingly went nowhere, and the overall story dragged on. The acting was not as good as it could have been, and the overall direction of the film was not so good.

The mystery that was supposed to be in the film was not very suspenseful, although one would think naturally a mystery has to be suspenseful.

Overall, I thought this film to be boring, and that it went nowhere; the film is not very good, not worth watching. The one redeeming aspect is that there were some entertaining parts randomly strewn throughout the film. But these definitely did not make up for the film as a whole.

"beauty is beyond image, it's what it makes you feel"

This movie portrays a world that exists in third world countries. The difference with this movie compared to many other third world theme movies is that "tres noches" makes you feel... (something like "Madame Sata, written and directed by Karim Ainouz).

The lighting and cinematography of this movie will send you in a dream of a hot blooded country (Caracas, Venezuela) where there is a past that we all know about but it's not spoken of and then there's a future which we don't know about but it sure carries a lot of passion and truth.

"Tres Noches" is great in suspense and a very involving story. If you are open minded about reading sub-titles or even better, if you speak Spanish this is definitely something you have to see.

    Venezuelan mystery.

This is a rather murky Venezuelan police mystery. The plot is hard to follow (and not just due to reading the sub-titles which are badly done)...mostly because of an attempt to be dark and atmospheric. The acting isn't bad and is worthy of a much better plot. One feels as though you are dropped into the middle of the story, without any idea as to what they are referring to. Nothing is really resolved, and it leaves you bewildered. We watched it wanting to find out what happens, and it just never gelled into something satisfying. Too bad as well, because there were times when it looked as though it was going to turn into a real gem.
