    excellent

This is a great documentary about hard rocking women of the 1990s! All the big bands are here, L7, Babes in Toyland, Hole, Lunachicks as well as lesser known bands. There are great interviews with Theo from Lunachicks, Kat Bjelland, Donita from L7 and the original bassist and drummer from Hole. There is also coverage of the Riot Grrrl convention giving a glimpse into what young girls were doing in the 1990s in regards to social/political action by starting bands. There is also psychological aspects to the documentary in regards to how the women see themselves vs the image the media gives them. This is one of the most fully formed documentaries on a music genre I have ever seen.
