    Surprisingly entertaining sequel.

Bride of the Killer Nerd (1992) is a good movie. I was very surprised by how well it was directed and acted. The story follows Harold Kunkle who's literally haunted by ghosts from his past. Poor Harold, he's still plagued by problems that he thought were finished and taken care of in Killer Nerd. All he does is work, sleep and eat. Until one day he finds his soul mate, a female nerd from a local high school. Just when their lives were about to hit rock bottom they found each other. Will this relationship last? That would be telling. Expect some mondo psycho-madness and other strange stuff in this little watched film.

Toby Radloff is perfect as the Killer Nerd. Being "America's Biggest Nerd" works in his favor as he reprises his role as Harold Kunkle from Killer Nerd. Despite the very low production values, it's a very entertaining film and it's worth seeking out the Troma disc because it has both films on it and other great stuff from Troma....of course!

    Recommended.

Not as "good" as the first, but amusing

It's great to see Kunkel make a comeback. Even though this one can't live up to the standards of the first "Killer Nerd" (but what could live up to those lofty standards?), it is still amusing and a pleasant way to pass ninety minutes.

    worse then the first

Harold Kunkle finds a girlfriend in the second installment of the Killer Nerd saga. Less entertaining then even the dubious value of the first film. Does pick up a tad towards the ending, but not nearly enough. The punchline being the girl nerd is more blood-thirsty then Harold I guess. Also, (and this is nether here, nor there) but I thought it strange that a black guy is invited to the party, when everyone obviously hates him and ridicules him. *shrugs*

    My Grade: D-

Troma DVD Extras: Intro by Lloyd Kaufman featuring gratuitous nudity; Commentary with Toby Radloff and director Wayne Alan Harold; Interview with Toby; Toby and Lloyd Kaufman in Akron, ohio; Purple Pam music video; 2 PSA's; Trailers for "Citizen Toxie", "Tales from the Crapper" and "Suicide"; Shameless plugs for Lloyd's book and website (comes in a double-feature with "Killer Nerd")

Eye Candy: Rachel (Mimsel Dendak) gets topless in a shower scene

    Even better than the original

Worthy sequel. The story is tighter and overall the film is pacier and more entertaining than the original.

Again we have a host of amateurish acting performances but the cast members are generally charismatic and entertaining, so the 'bad' acting is actually a lot of fun.

Toby Radloff is again fantastic. He's the 'slick' nerd throughout which is great. Heidi Lohr is fab in the title role too. She played a different role in the original but here she is even funnier. I also loved the mean girls she was at school with.

    Cool music.

    Harold takes a bride!

Bride Of Killer Nerd is to Killer Nerd as Bride Of Frankenstein is to Frankenstein: a sequel that improves on the original. Harold meets Thelma, the ultimate female nerd, and they fall in love. After being thoroughly humiliated, they embark on a killing rampage even more over-the-top than Harold's spree in the first film. As an added treat, there is a party sequence with a really rocking band plus a nicely done homage to Alfred Hitchcock. A dandy of a low budget black comedy/horror flick. Filmed in the Cleveland area with a wonderful abundance of bad taste. I loved it!
