Kinky sex scenes and plot twists make this a gulity pleasure

Blown Away has to be one of the gulitest pleasure films released in the nineties. The film has Nicole Eggert nude, sex , Nicole Eggert nude and fianlly Nicole Eggert nude. But besides Nicole, the film does have some nice plot twists. If this film had a good director and had been been released by New Line Cinema, I think the film would have been a sleeper hit.If you run across it on video chekc it out.

    5/ 5.5. Here is why...

This is actually, if you are a particular about acting like I am, the second best acting job of Haim's career. He is mostly believable and can carry a long scene by himself, unlike Feldman (whom I am not dissing on!). It may be different now, but this was near Haim's pinnacle of acting. Pay attention, you'll be rewarded.

So, that was a treat, knowing he at least made it into his 20's, before he started overacting and being silly.

People rate this a bit lower than it deserves, I think. Probably based on the sex, etc. Sure, I agree, this is an exploitation on Basic Instinct's popularity at the time, but it was a suitable and not a particularly bad knock-off. I look at it as a young-adult romance thriller with taboo nudity...Just keep in mind, these kids were well into their early 20's, not some baby's. So, it is perfectly natural to feel attracted to them...it's not license to drive, folks! Nicole and The Corey's have always looked younger than they were.

So, if you like tense thrillers with unsettling moments, or just want to see Haim and Nicole naked, this is a solid B-Flick.

    Check it out.

interesting plot with a good message to teenagers

I saw this movie 5 days ago and I loved it. It has a interesting plot of a girl named Megan who convinces her new boyfriend Rich that her father killed her mother and he should die too. Rich helps megan in doing this because he has fallen head over heals for her. As the film progresses, only rich gets caught for the murder of megan's father. He is confined to prison, but Megan soon bails him out. After this happens, Rich finds out that megan isn't what she appears to be. The message the movie sends is that you shouldn't trust a person just because you have fallen for him or her. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 16 because of the nudity. But people over sixteen should see it so they can learn that love and lust are two completely different things.

Some may disagree, but I really enjoyed this movie...

First, let me state that Nicole Eggert is not the only reason that I enjoyed this movie. There may be some obvious lack of story in this film, but if you have nothing better to do on a rainy Friday night and are in the mood for a good semi-predictable thriller, then I couldn't think of a better film to watch. Jean LeClerc definitely makes the movie interesting as well as adds to the suspense and the thrill of this movie. There is quite a bit of soft-core smut between the two main characters of the movie, but that is masked by the predictable yet interesting plot of this film. If you have never seen it, then I bring it to you highly recommended, and if you have any regrets on following my advice then my email address is there. You let me know. I have a feeling that there will not be too many people complaining after following my advice on this movie....you just may be surprised.

    Teenage Skin Flick

It's just another movie with the Corey Boyz (Haim & Feldman). It started with the "Lost Boys" and, who knows? They might make a new reunion film.

Other than that, It's Nicole Eggert from "Charles in Charge" fame. Like the previous commentator, it's her naked through about, oh, two-thirds of the film. Nothing wrong with that. She's hot. She plays the teen femme fatale, who is just plain horny. No rhyme or reason. She just shags and kills. She's angry at her dad, like all teenage kids are usually. Ho-hum!

Bottom line: it's one of those movies to watch when you're feeling funny downstairs. Have fun drooling!

    • Trivia
The Talisman Ski Resort, located in Kimberly, Ontario, Canada, where Rich and Wes worked and was seen throughout the film, was opened in 1963 and closed in 2011 due to bankruptcy. Despite being purchased and resold a couple times since then, it has been abandoned since its closure and has slowly been taken over by the elements.
    • Goofs
After Megan gives Rich her Porsche, he "pops the hood", presumably looking for a bomb in the engine compartment. However, Porsche 911s are mid-engine cars, so the engine is at the rear.
    • Quotes

Rich: [to Megan, regarding the large stuffed animal covering her naked body] Nice duck.

    • Alternate versions
There have been two versions released of this film. One is the R-rated theatrical version and the other is an unrated video version. Both of these are available in the United States. The unrated version is much more explicit than the R-rated version. The USA DVD is the Unrated version.
