Lyle and Erik Menendez, the brothers who are responsible for the 1989 murder of their parents, Kitty and José Menendez, told their story together for the first time in nearly 30 years in a new Netflix documentary released Monday.

The brutal murder took place in the family’s Beverly Hills home. The boys stormed into their house with shotguns firing several shots at both of their parents. While an elaborate shopping spree that followed the murders led the public to believe they did it for their inheritence, the boys claimed that the violence came from a darker place.

Once upon a time in late night television, it was customary for talk shows to fill up their couches as the evening's episode progressed. The first guest would do their segment and then move down a spot on the adjacent couch, making room for the next guest to yap with Johnny Carson, Dick Cavett or whoever. News Corp announced Arthur Bochner, a communications veteran who spent nearly a decade at Disney before exiting in 2022, will become chief communications officer and executive VP.

Bochner takes over the role from Jim Kennedy, who joined the company in 2013 and is set to retire later this year. Bochner is moving from Los Angeles to New York with his family and will be based at News Corp’s headquarters at 1211 Avenue of the Americas.

Australian satirist Barry Humphries, known for his onstage and TV drag persona Edna Everage and for his character Sir Les Patterson, has died. He was 89.

The BBC reported that Humphries had been in hospital in Sydney, Australia, and had been suffering from complications following surgery in March.

“A great wit, satirist, writer and an absolute one-of-kind, he was both gifted and a gift,” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said following the news of Humphries’ death.

The late-night television sector will be the first to get hit if there’s a writers strike, and its stars are bracing themselves for impact.

The nightly talk shows – The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show as well as Saturday Night Live – will be among the first high-profile shows dealing with the fallout of a strike if the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers can’t reach an agreement by May 1.

Kimmel and Colbert, the latter of which previously hosted Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, will remember first-hand what happened last time there was a writers strike in 2007-08. Meyers was on Saturday Night Live during that period.

Jay Leno has returned to stand-up comedy two weeks after suffering third-degree burns when a fire broke out in his Burbank garage.

The former Tonight Show host performed for one hour at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California, a venue he has appeared at almost weekly on Sunday nights since 1978. On Monday, NBC’s Today program featured clips of Leno walking into the club for his comedy set on Sunday night.

“We’ve got two shows tonight — regular and extra-crispy,” Leno told reporters, making light of his recent injuries before adding: “I never thought of myself as a roast comic.”

On Nov. 21, Leno was released from the Grossman Burn Center just over a week after being treated for third-degree burns he developed after a fire broke out in a garage where he keeps a collection of classic cars. Leno underwent...

Former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno canceled a recent appearance due to a medical emergency after a gasoline fire left him hospitalized.

“I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet,” Leno said in a statement, via Variety.

Marc Wilmore, writer of “F Is For Family” and brother of comedian Larry Wilmore, has died from Covid-19 complications at age 57.

“My sweet sweet brother, Marc Edward Wilmore, passed away last night while battling Covid and other conditions that have had him in pain for many years. My brother was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, lion of an angel I’ve ever known. I love you little brother,” Larry Wilmore said in a tweet.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Rachel Bloom took to social media on Wednesday to pay tribe to Adam Scheslinger, who died Wednesday of coronavirus complications.

“I have so much to say about Adam Schlesinger that I am at a complete loss for words," the actress shared.

Scheslinger co-founded the pop-rock band Fountains of Wayne, and was also well-known for his contributions to The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

According to his attorney, Josh Grier, the composer died Wednesday morning due to complications from the coronavirus.

In a statement through his agent to Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday, Schlesinger’s girlfriend said:

“Adam has been hospitalized with Covid-19” and is “on a ventilator and has been sedated to facilitate his recovery.” The musician was “in critical condition,” she said at the time.

Vying for the heart of Howard Stern co-host Robin Quivers isn’t for the weak. So “American Idol” alum Jackie Tohn, who stars in the Netflix wrestling comedy “Glow,” threw herself into the ring, recruiting Stern song parody veteran Eli Bradon for a pair of parodies that had Stern and his SiriusXM listeners in stitches.

Tohn’s two collaborations with Braden — raunchy love songs to Quivers set to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s sultry duet of “Shallow” from “A Star is Born,” and a positively filthy take on Cher’s “Believe” — both received big praise from Stern, who said the “Shallow” duet, which encouraged Quivers to try hooking up with girls, gave him “chills.”

May’s manager confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter; TMZ reports that May died of cardiac arrest in Las Vegas on Friday after battling pneumonia for a number of weeks.
