Fell in love with this show the first time I watched it. I watched the dub and I gotta say I loved it. Later I would watch the sub but didn't find it as appealing. The English version is best for people who don't know Japanese. The type of anime that it is just makes it more entertaining to hear in English. It's a great show and yes the dub may not be 100% accurate or great but you can relate to the characters emotions when in English. The new DVD dub is kinda dry. I prefer the VHS dub which are more laid back and well the voices bring out the characters a lot better. The DVD was re-dubbed because a few seconds of episode 2 where nagisa gropes shuns younger brother were cut out in the dub but left in the sub VHS. This isn't a dirty anime or something. It's a well funny light hearted type of anime that if you liked series like tenchi muyo etc would love.
Sometimes I think that the Greenwood series may actually be about me and my friends, it is quite eerie the similarities.
Anyway, you will definitely want to check this out. The first four episodes are rampant humour in the classic Koko wa Greenwood style, get to know Mitsuru, Shinobu, Shun, and poor old Hasugawa and watch their rampant antics. The last two episodes are one of the more moving anime love stories I have ever seen. And Hasugawa, the eternal loser, finally wins.
One of the best short Anime series ever. Go out and read the Manga!

I loved this anime, from the guy running the cult, to the one living with his motorcycle, this was one of the most entertaining animes I have seen. Anyone who doesn't have a quote, unquote normal sense of humor can really get into this anime.
This makes more sense if you read the Manga (Japanese comics to all you outsiders) first but not reading it won't ruin the madcap fun that this series holds. Every character is a world onto himself (or herself) and will capture you attention and your heart. And even though sometimes goes seems to do stuff that isn't what you'd expect (the show never got into magic and the supernatural and out of the blue they had a ghost episode) it's always entertaining and endearing. For great comedy/drama check out this great show.
This may be a little biased because the only copy available for me was the dubbed version. Simply put, the dub was horrible. The characters, having flat, monotonous voices, prevented me from enjoying this series entirely. I've more than a few complaints about Greenwood but I emphasize these points. 1. why do every character look the same? Except for different hair color (umm pink for guys?) the students look nearly identical. 2. how unrealistic is it for a guy to be living with a girl in a dorm? If this is a Japanese tradition then I'm not aware of it. I suggest watching the first episode, subbed if you possibly can, if it doesn't interest you, dump the series all together and watch some Nadesico.
