This is one of the dumbest spoofs ever made.
Like Kung Pao, it splices together scenes from older (also crappy) movies.
It also adds a dubbed soundtrack rivaling that of an 10-year-old with a $20 tape recorder.
I'm not sure what possessed anyone to make this spoof.
The smelly poop joke that occurs throughout the movie is especially painful to endure.
It wasn't funny the first time we see it.
It becomes even less so, each subsequent time. By the 15th time, I felt like hurting someone.
Unless you like spending your time watching movies that were so poorly done they elicit an physical reaction, steer clear.
Why?? Why did they allow this movie to be made? Why!?!?

If you're ready for a ton of dog poo jokes, and want to see early Sylvester Stallone outtakes bolted together in a really fun parody, then A Man Called...Rainbo is the perfect film to see. This movie made me laugh out loud again and again with its combination of outrageous physical gags and political barbs. The more you watch it, the more you will see...this is a surprisingly well-layered movie, worth seeing again and again!
This is one of the most HILARIOUS movies I have EVER seen! This spoof (of the 1970 movie "No Place To Hide") is about a group of hippies out to subvert politicians bent on espionage. It's filled with funny talk, poop jokes & has lots of cooties on the slovenly cast. Sly keeps scratching himself like the camera's not even rolling (obviously some outtakes were put back in). There's a hippie chick that talks in the funniest voice I've EVER heard (due to excellent dubbing). One guy keeps referring to the agency in charge as "The FBI: In Color" (a throwback to the '60s). I just can't stop myself from laughing throughout, no matter how hard I try. This is one of the few movies that I enjoyed so much, that an immediate second viewing had to take place!

This is like a wacked out version of "What's Up, Tiger Lily." Stallone plays this stupid hippie who's trying to get this girl in bed and she keeps blowing him off. It's really hilarious. This is a great tape to have going on during a party.
This movie makes me laugh out loud more than any other movie I have ever seen. Most "comedies" are 80% drama with some comical moments. But every single sound, gesture, and image of this film is perfectly put into place to make you laugh. If you ever have the chance to watch A Man Called Rainbo, don't miss it. This movie is becoming more and more rare, but is definitely worth tracking down. If my VHS tape ever got damaged, I would gladly pay up to $100 to replace it as this movie is truly in a class of its own! I can't praise it enough.
Sylvester Stallone as a hippie who goes AWOL, steps in radioactive dog-poo, gets hassled by a horse, attempts to start World War III, and is being hunted by government agencies as well as the District of Columbia record and tape club. This movie has it all. I don't think it's possible to be any more hilarious! I repeat - if you ever get a chance to view this film, DO NOT MISS IT!!! This is the epitome of comedy; they don't get better than this -
