Look out late night! Space Ghost has beamed in! This show is some funny stuff late nights, I wish they had coast to coast on tape. Anyway, one of the best shows on Cartoon Network. Suprisingly good guests, hysterical lines you have to repeat, and a a death ray! What else could you ask for in a late night show?
Looking for the most unusual show on television? Well, look no further, because you've found it. "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" is more than just an animated talk show starring a washed-up '60s cartoon hero and his evil sidekicks. It's also a deconstruction of the superhero mythos, an attack on the culture of celebrity, and both a celebration and interrogation of the pop culture wasteland from which it sprang.
It's also one of the funniest shows that has ever been -- and ever will be -- on television. It features episodes that make you scratch your head ("Story Book," "Woody Allen's Fall Project," "Brilliant Number One"), ones that take you behind the scenes and show you their process ("Transcript," "Table Read") and ones of such dizzying inventiveness ("Jacksonville," "Pavement," "Joshua," "Knifin' Around") that they make you glad that someone, somewhere thought the idea of giving Space Ghost his own talk show wasn't so stupid.
"All right, my little unhappy monkeys."

My god, the people who thought up this show are geniuses. Put an outdated cartoon character on his own talk show with his old rivals, lower all their IQ levels by 20 points, and have pop icons be bombarded by pointless questions. This is probably the best talk show I have ever seen, which is funny consideing the host isn't even real.
I think it's good that this show never reached a wider audience, either. That makes it kind of special. Just a little something for those of us who stay up all night watching TV.

Not just the best late night show, but THE best show!
Highly addictive sci-fi talk show, with space ghost and his enemies interviewing celebs, and occasionally getting attacked by his enemies!
Watch coast to coast on adult swim on cartoon network!
Also Recomended: the brak show, and cartoon planet.

The jokes are well thought out and smart and really make us laugh, Space ghost its actor voice is excellent, the characters' relationships in the interviews are brilliant, the interviewees were well chosen, the script excellent despite being a talk show.

- TriviaBefore any part of the episodes were written, the guests were interviewed by a crew member, sometimes wearing the Space Ghost costume made famous by Andy Merrill in some Cartoon Planet (1997) intros. The interviewer also instructed the guest to address him as "Space Ghost" to maintain continuity. After an interview was done, the writing crew went back over it, taking pieces out of context and out of order, assembling them into the responses to Space Ghost and the rest of the cast. Most of the show's earlier guests assumed they were participating in a relatively straightforward interview. As the series became more popular, however, more and more guests became at least peripherally familiar with what was going on.
- Quotes
Space Ghost: I'll be dead long before you were born and I'll be dead long before you'll be dead.
- Crazy creditsThe name of Tom Roche always appears upside down.
- Alternate versionsIn the TV-aired version of the episode "$20.01", Space Ghost asks Mystery Science Theater 3000 creator & former host Joel Hodgson to help him make fun of scenes from the 1960s Japanese television superhero series "Ultra Seven" in the style of MST3K. Possibly because of rights issues, the Ultra Seven clips are replaced on the Volume 2 DVD version with a mock amateur horror film produced by Williams Street. However, the original audio is kept intact.
