A quite easy to watch tale of 2 thieves, with that love/hate type relationship between them. Chrisopher Walken stars and is very good as the silent rogue with a scam bigger than he's letting on.

Good story, good actors & b grade charm.
If you can find it give it a watch and then call me and tell me where I can find a copy!
This old gem is still as good as I remember. Set in Miami and mostly Jamaica, it reminds me a lot of Miami Vice. I kept wanting this movie to go from the crime drama genre to romance genre. The two main actors (Lorraine Bracco and Christopher Walken) sizzle together when they aren't scamming or fighting for their lives. Watching these two is just as exciting as watching all the schemes hatch. I could not tell if they had ever done the deed in the movie or not, or if they stopped short of it. Having read the personal struggles that Lorraine Bracco was going through during filming I think she did a great job. She seemed like a natural.
Watching this little movie is a sheer delight from start to finish. The story is always entertaining, the tension never loosing up. The whole cast is wonderful. The teaming of Walken and Bracco works to perfection, it is almost like an echo of a classic screwball romance. Bracco is very sexy and really funny as the scam artist who fights for her independence. For some reason they gave Walken a very strange make up and the weirdest haircut I can imagine it's sort of a parody of the one Burt Lancaster had in Elmer Gantry. For me it added to the pleasure. It's the first movie I saw Miguel Ferrer in, probably one of the most under-appreciated movie actors of his generation. He's very good in a small role as Bracco's pimp. Even the Jamaican thugs are a sight to behold. I can highly recommend this movie.
This film was a great TV-film. Great acting by Christopher Walken (as usual) and Miguel Ferrer. Lorraine Bracco was OK. This film had many surprises. It was entertaining all the time. Great film for a night at home.Great acting, great story and as I said many surprises make this movie to a very good one. If Christopher Walken would not have taken this role I think Chazz Palmintieri or perhaps Mel Gibson should have been good as Jack Shanks.

- TriviaDirector John Flynn, in an interview, said of the production: ''...it was just another assignment. Showtime's executives liked 'Nails' so much they immediately offered me 'Scam'. We shot most of it in Jamaica. It was a privilege to work with Chris Walken. What a fine actor he is. Miguel Ferrer and Martin Donovan are also first-rate talents, but Lorraine Bracco was clinically depressed at the time, having trouble with her boyfriend Edward James Olmos and her ex-husband Harvey Keitel. So Lorraine wasn't at the top of her game in 'Scam'.''
