    An Honest Review

I'm going to go ahead and give this a 10, but, mind you, that is a 10 on the insomnia scale.

Even back when I was a little kid, and I caught this first on HBO when I was about 12 or 13, I've had issues sleeping at night, or in the day, or just issues sleeping at all. And, honestly, this is the kind of movie that is custom made for people like me that are stretched out on the couch looking for something we can ignore enough to lull us to sleep, but interesting enough to keep us vaguely entertained when we can't.

There are a lot of odd things that seem unrealistic, have little to do with the plot, and were added in for reasons that can't be explained... and for insomnia fair that is always appealing.

And the plot is just bad enough to keep you amused and just good enough to keep you from turning it off... again, perfect for a late night alone in the living room film.

Movies like this, they aren't made to be good. They aren't made to be prime time. They are really just made to play late at night for people to only vaguely pay attention to.

And in that respect, it wins.
    call-1

    type of movie

It looks like a remake of "the collector" except for the end. Too slow. Beautiful actress (Erika Anderson). A lot of strange things, such as well working TV in the middle of a terrible earthquake... Surely saved by the beautiful face of Erika

    Quake

A dog can always sense something is wrong or about to happen so if you notice your dog is acting weird, pay attention, don't ignore your dog.Quake was an OK movie & worth watching once.It seemed more like a movie off the Lifetime channel but still worth watching. If it didn't have a little bit of nudity then you'd swear it was off the network.I almost gave up on the movie once (I have no reason why) but I'm glad I stuck around because the twist that happened before the end was worth sticking around for & just when you thought it was over...... If it did end then & there then it would've ended perfectly but I figured the movie must go on.Steven Railsback was GREAT as the psychotic nut job neighbor next door. There were a few times where he truly creeped me out.I know he's been in a lot of movies before but I never really noticed him until now. This movie makes me want to go out & look for more of his stuff. If you ever happen to come across Quake then I'd say give it a watch. It's not a bad way to spend 1 Hour & 25 Minutes

    Quaked movie

Here was a movie which sadly could of been much better, where it's fallen into B grade mire. Of course being a B movie, it just could of been much better, where really it takes the wrong path into dead end territory. The premise is great, just the treatment of it, is terrible. Anderson, again soaking up the screen, not as much in Zandalee, who really doesn't really do much with her role here, is the crazy infatuation of nutter/photographer, and neighbour (Railsback) great as usual, with an underestimated scariness to him. Fate as he so flamboyantly states, brings the two together, where in the city of quakes, another one strikes, separating an injured Anderson's who becomes Railsback's possession. Richly handsome, Worried boyfriend can't get to her, as being on the other side of the 'Cisco bridge, which of course, has yes, collapsed. Railsback is one real reason to watch this, and bit's interesting to see how Anderson's character plays off of him, despite an almost blank chemistry between the two actors, where it's Anderson, who's at fault. But the movie of course, has other problems, which you'll see. The footage, some of it, stock footage, was breathtakingly impressive. No, I was really wowed by this, but this of course, is not what the movie's for, and doesn't excuse the fact, for falling into some B grade movie dreck, where we're left to wallow in Railsback's craziness, with his sexy victim, in a dark dank air for most park. Dick Miller throws a little bit of hope and warmth into this movie. God knows it needs it, the warmth I'm talking about.
