    Need to see this

I've gotta vote 10, even without seeing the movie yet! I just finished nursing school, and guess who was one of my instructors? Yup: Jill Houston from the movie (that was her maiden name)! She's still an awesome nurse- I got to work one-on-one with her for 5 weeks and she taught me more than an entire year of classes could have! She told me her story and I had to do a search to find the movie since she's a bit modest. She told me about how all they really had was in packs around their waist- like bandage scissors, etc. I want to go into flight nursing but stuff like that has me a bit frightened, I guess that's something I'll have to get over.

    Happy viewing!

Nurses on the Line: The Crash of Flight 7 - **** out of *****

The obvious draw of this superior television movie is going to be the pre-mega stardom appearance of Jennifer Lopez. And she is just fine in a supporting performance as one of the titular nurses. But the real takeaway for me is what a truly great, underappreciated actress Lindsay Wagner is. She is the real deal - intelligent, vulnerable, charismatic... you name it. I am convinced had she the right material throughout her career, she would be known as one of our finest actresses rather than just the Bionic Woman. She is truly great here, and she leads a fine supporting cast in a surprisingly gripping and well produced TV film. It may be a lazy comparison, but I thought about SOUND OF FREEDOM while watching this. There are some superficially similar characteristics between the two, but I think this is so much better. It feels more real, it is more emotionally involving, and despite the limitations of the format, it is an overall more powerful experience. I was really surprised how engrossed I was in the story and how much I found myself caring about what happened to these people. Again, it occasionally suffers from the limits of what a television film is able to do, but Wagner and her fellow actors excel superbly, and this is much more than just an early steppingstone in the career of a superstar.

    pretty good,jennifer lopez"s second movie

first of all i've saw this movie yesterday under the name : LOST IN THE WILD which runs 2 minutes longer than Nurses on the Line: The Crash of Flight 7.this movie has potential because has good shots(was filmed in Mexico),very good cast, good soundtrack, interesting scenery but it had been more entertaining if it was an intersection between the drug dealer and the nurses and if it was a love story between the adventure.that's are my only discontent.robert loggia and jennifer lopez were awesome and the other cast too.i've read in other commentaries about this movie that jennifer lopez has a minor role but this is not true.if think that her real fans will enjoy her in this movie.so all in all it is a pretty good movie that could have been a much better movie even a classic one if the story of the movie had been more intriguing

They take a true stiry and turn it into a farce

Jungle drama, sort of based on a real incident, aims to show resourcefulness and character development of crew of callow nurses. Addition of jiggle factor, though, results in something that's more like a cross between "MASH" and "Charlie's Angels."

Nurses are on their way to a clinic in the remote stretches of the Mexican jungle when one of their three light planes crashes; film shows efforts to rescue the survivors and get them to big city for treatment.

Before it's over, younger nurses have grown up emotionally, and senior nurse Elizabeth Hahn (Lindsay Wagner), recovering from a failed marriage to a prominent cardiologist, comes to terms with herself. And, of course, lives are saved. Script by Norman Morrill and Andrew Laskos interestingly interjects an almost supernatural aura to those proceedings involving noble but culturally backward locals, as when one mysteriously appears with a package containing precisely the right medicine, and at the end, where what ap-

pears to be an entire civilization lights up the runway with torches.

Serious intent of film is largely negated by incidents in which (for instance) nurse Jill (Paula Marshall) sees a snake and, right out of a B movie, starts screaming. Wagner gets one of the funniest lines (unintentionally?) when her daughter (Hilary Edson) asks where she learned Spanish. "In the kitchen," she replies with a straight face. "You learn a few things as an affluent housewife."

Well into the pic, Nurse Fran (Farrah Forke) reveals that she was almost booted from nurse school, because "they think I'm not nurselike enough." As she's saying that, Fran is cutting the legs off a pair of jeans: Insect bites and potentially dangerous jungle foliage be damned when there's some gam to display.

Robert Loggia plays crusty Dr. Daniel Perrin as if understudying George C. Scott; David Clennon's Dr. Rulon Beesley is somewhat less cliched.

    truly, a very good movie

Brilliant! I watched this movie 3 days ago on channel 7 in Australia. When it started, looked silly. But got so much better! A true story aswell! Lindsay Wagner was absolutely brilliant as well as her co-star Robert Loggia. While heading towards a makeshift medical outpost deep into the Mexican jungle, one of three planes crashes, stranding a group of doctors and student nurses, some of whom are critically injured. This taut adventure follows the attempts of the others to locate the downed plane and save the lives of the survivors. Once the search party finds the injured medics, their next challenge is to get them to a proper medical facility. One in particular could die any moment. The searchers could have treated them on the spot had not local natives appeared and looted the downed plane of its drugs. A nearby landing strip promises a chance to get the injured passengers to safety, but unfortunately that would precipitate a night flight and recent anti-drug operations laws strictly prohibit flying after dark. One brave doctor volunteers to traverse the jungle to a nearby town in hopes of convincing authorities to make an exception. Meanwhile the rest of the entourage must somehow make it safely to the airstrip by daylight. But don't make it, the plane comes over and doesn't see them. Then the people of far off cities come with torches, car lights, fires the plane tries to land the first time, can't, the airstrip was to short. Then the second time the pilots come in as slow as they can then stops... 3 metres before the doctors and the pilots would be killed.
