The Summit War Saga had the toughest arcs for Monkey D. Luffy. The young pirate got separated from his crew, faced a series of defeats, lost his elder brother, and almost died several times within these arcs. While we haven’t forgotten the pain and sacrifice he went through, it seems Eiichiro Oda has.
One of the most prominent traits of Luffy is that he will risk his life for his loved ones, and the Impel Down Arc of One Piece showed us the ultimate one. After straining his body from overusing Gear 2nd and 3rd and undergoing treatment from Ivankov, his lifespan had decreased by 10 years.
While we don’t know how much it was decreased to, this is a pretty serious plot point for Luffy’s arc in One Piece. However, Oda hasn’t brought it up ever again, despite having a golden chance to during the Whole Cake Island Arc.

No one will mistake The Bondsman for the next Supernatural, but it’s the closest we’ve gotten in a while—maybe even the most enjoyable. The new Kevin Bacon series embraces an engaging monster-of-the-week format, featuring demons running amok and serving up a satisfying blend of horror and thriller fun.
It also helps that Kevin Bacon leads the show with his signature laid-back charm and effortless charisma, making him instantly watchable. While The Bondsman takes a few episodes to find its groove, it ultimately becomes a monster mash of thrills, chills, and howls, keeping the story fresh and entertaining for viewers.

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is meeting with potential candidates to replace film bosses Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, according to a report by Bloomberg, which cited people familiar with the matter.
The talks, Bloomberg says, are “at an early and informal stage” with a final decision about De Luca and Abdy’s fate at the company having not yet been made.
Still, Warner Bros. Discovery spokesperson Robert Gibbs told Bloomberg that “the rumor of an imminent leadership change at the studio is not accurate.”
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Warner Bros. for comment.

It wasn’t too long ago that Warner Bros. debuted Kevin Costner’s passion project, Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1. Ostensibly aimed at older audiences, the movie tanked upon release, which prompted W.B. to remove the already completed sequel from its release calendar. This week’s The Alto Knights appears to be targeting a similar demographic. But it drew a worse response at the box office. Starring Robert De Niro in the dual roles of the mobsters Frank Costello and Vito Genovese, the crime drama debuted to mediocre reviews and negligible interest at the box office.
The movie made just $3 million in its first weekend of release at the domestic box office, finishing outside the top five, behind even Mickey 17 — another W.B. release that has struggled commercially. The movie made another $1.9 million from overseas markets, for a nearly $5 million global debut. Directed by veteran Barry Levinson, The...

The Alto Knights North America Box Office: Release Day Update(Photo Credit –YouTube)
Robert De Niro’s starrer biographical crime drama film, The Alto Knights, is headed for a disappointing affair at the box office on its release day. The movie has collected even less than the second Friday collection of Cate Blanchett’s Black Bag. Keep scrolling for the deets.
It was directed by Barry Levinson and distributed by Warner Bros Pictures. It has opened to mixed reviews from the critics. De Niro appears in a dual role as the 1950s mob bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello. It also features Debra Messing, Cosmo Jarvis, Kathrine Narducci, and Michael Rispoli in supporting roles. It has received poor ratings from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes; they gave it 38%, and their collective consensus states, “A competent but tired retread of mob movie tropes, it pits De Niro vs. De Niro with no real victor emerging.

If the digital de-ageing of the holy trinity of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman was a bit distracting at times, get a load of double De Niro in Barry Levinson’s long-gestating The Alto Knights. Demonstrating that when it comes to the greats you can never have too much of a good thing, De Niro plays both leading roles: that of don Frank Costello on the verge of a quiet retirement, and his hot-headed childhood friend and drug baron Vito Genovese, with whom he’s forced to go toe-to-toe.
Based on a true story of mob warfare and penned by GoodFellas screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi, the film has been in the works since the 1970s and was finally greenlit in 2022. Watching the early sequences certainly gives one a sense of déjà vu: the film opens in media res in 1957 with an act of violence,...

Martin Scorsesemay have directed some of the greatest crime dramas ever to be created, but Robert De Niro starred in most of them. The unofficial trilogy of Goodfellas, Casino, and The Irishman is a testament to that fact, and that doesn't even include other classics like Scorsese's early hit Taxi Driver and his recent epic Killers of the Flower Moon. This probably sounds like Cinema Snob 101 material, but the reason we bring it up is because any film that casts Robert De Niro in a gangster film is inevitably going to draw comparisons to those aforementioned masterworks. That is certainly a fate that The Alto Knights is unlikely to escape.

This article contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.
The God's Knights are quickly becoming the most relevant antagonists in One Piece. Not only do they feature heavily in the Elbaph arc, but they've been hinted at for a while. They are the most direct agents for the World Government. While both the Marines and Ciphol Pol agencies also work under the World Government's orders, there are more degrees of separation between the organizations than there are for the God's Knights. Unlike the other two groups, the God's Knights are made up of Celestial Dragons, and in fighting them, the Straw Hat Pirates are directly battling against the World Government.
Despite this growing relevance, the God's Knights have yet to prove their strength. They are an intimidating group, but they don't have provable feats behind them. It's hard to gauge their strength. More than that, introducing such a powerful group...

Over the years, the anime medium has become well-known for its consistent and widespread application of particular tropes. From powerful transformations to over-the-top fan service, these tropes take a variety of shapes and forms, but arguably none have a greater impact on their respective narratives than rivalries. One Piece is no exception, and although its protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, doesn't have a single, defining rival like many shonen anime, it introduces a long list of these figures throughout its narrative.
The recent introduction of Shamrock Figarland — the Celestial Dragon brother of Red-Haired Shanks — has set up a brand-new rivalry between the Holy Knight and the Emperor of the Sea, and given the two characters' political significance, their inevitable clash will play a major role in One Piece's final saga. However, there are many other long-standing rivalries that take precedence over Shamrock and Shanks' feud, several of which have been...

Many iconic DC villains graced the screen in Batman: The Animated Series, but there were also numerous villains left on the cutting room floor. Some were deemed too dark, others simply didnt fit the tone of the DC show, and a few were outright vetoed by the studio. However, creators Bruce Timm and Paul Dini have revealed fascinating behind-the-scenes details about these unused characters. Theyve also speculated on who would have voiced them if they had made it into the series.
The creative team behind Batman: The Animated Series included Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and a stellar roster of writers and directors who redefined the Dark Knights rogues' gallery for Batman: Tas. Timm and Dini, in particular, often share behind-the-scenes tidbits through interviews and fan sites like The Worlds Finest. Theyve revealed details about villains who almost appeared on the show, how likely their inclusion was, and the actors they envisioned for these roles.

For almost 30 years, the narrative of One Piece has been expanding and growing into one of the biggest adventure tales in history. The series has been at the top of its game for so long and by the looks of it, it might not end anytime soon. Although the series has entered the final saga, it still has a lot of plot points and mysteries to cover and that might become a problem.

The cat is out of the bag, even though it was hardly in the bag at this point anyway. What cat, precisely? Well, Marvel is putting together a team of bad guys trying to do some good with next year's "Thunderbolts*," the film that will officially conclude Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We're going to see a lot of familiar faces in the movie, including Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier. Meanwhile, MCU newcomer Lewis Pullman is joining the fun as a character who's simply been referred to as "Bob" in the film's marketing thus far. However, it turns out Bob is actually someone pretty important ... as many Marvel fans were already well aware.

Warning: Contains potential spoilers for Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter #5!Wintergreen, an ally of Deathstroke, has just made a strong debut in DCs Dark Knights of Steel, with an armored redesign that makes him truly worthy of the series name, one that is reminiscent of Iron Mans Mark I. Star Wars just gave us our first look at Andor sesaon 2, and it seems like it could fulfill an intriguing line from the original Star Wars film. The landmark and fan-favorite Andor season 1 dealt with the establishment of the galaxy under Imperial rule. Forces like Luthen Rael's rebel network and the Imperial Security Bureau were making stealthy moves against each other as unrest steadily grew.
While season 2 of the espionage drama series seems to be continuing this, it also brings much more into the picture, mainly the establishment and early years of the Rebel Alliance. This topic has been described, depicted, and explained in several other places, including the animated Star Wars Rebels series. One shot from the new footage, however, makes a surprising development possible.

Alto Knights is a long-awaited gangster movie with a star-studded creative team and there's been a lot of news regarding everything from the release date to the story. Alto Knights promises more drama, violence, and intrigue, all done with the talented touches of some of the best creative minds in Hollywood. Throughout the character's history in DC movies, Batman has made numerous impressive displays of power on the big screen. As one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, Batman has become a staple of pop culture in the modern era. This has seen Batman appear in many movies, both in live-action and animation, adapting the stories from DC Comics to see the Caped Crusader fight crime solo and alongside other powerful DC heroes.
Many actors have portrayed Batman, leading to a variety of takes on and ideas about the character being adapted to the big screen. This has seen him face a range of fearsome villains, many of which have tested the Dark Knights power and strength in a major way. Netflix's Canceled Superhero Masterpiece Gets A Glimpse of What Was Possible in Batman Crossover Art
Recent crossover art between Batmanand Grendel shows that Netflix made a huge mistake in canceling their series based on Matt Wagners iconic indie comic before it was even released. I cannot believe how DC is recreating one of the most heartbreaking Batman images of all time. Over the course of 85 years, DC has released some spectacular Batman stories, and Year One ranks as one of the best. Batman: Year One also inspired one of the most gut-wrenching images in Batmans history, and now DC has given it an unbelievable makeover on the cover of Little Batman: Month One #1.
Little Batman began as an animated movie on Amazon Prime, and will spin off into its own series in 2025.
DC has revealed their solicitations for their November shipping titles, including Little Batman: Month One #1, written by Morgan Evans (screenwriter for the Little Batman movie) and drawn by Jon Mikel. The book is a spin-off of the Little Batman film, which will be in theaters at Christmas.

Released in 1996, the original Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars arrived at a time when graphic adventure games were beginning to lose popularity. Yet the game found surprise success with critics and fans for its clever storytelling and puzzles.
Players took control of George Stobbart, an American caught up in strange events during a vacation in Paris. After witnessing a deadly cafe explosion, George teams up with journalist Nico to investigate further. Their searching leads them to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy connected to the secretive Knights Templar.
With its immersive hand-painted backdrops and interesting characters, Broken Sword spun an entertaining yarn that blended real-world history with conspiracy theories. Players explored locations while gathering clues and speaking to various characters, piecing together the unfolding mystery.
Revolution Software paid close attention to pacing and detail. Though some puzzles pushed the boundaries of logic, the gameplay generally felt streamlined compared to other adventure titles of the time.

‘Blade‘ is a highly anticipated Marvel Studios project that will introduce the iconic antihero to the MCU. Mahershala Ali, an Oscar winner, is set to play the title role, with Mia Goth cast as Lilith. Fans of The Vampire Hunter are eagerly looking forward to this film.
For Ali, the movie seems to be a passion project, and he appears to be dedicating significant time and energy to its development. However, the project has faced numerous challenges, with some even describing it as being in “developmental hell.”
Despite Ali’s current role as Blade and his voice cameo in ‘Eternals,’ there are rumors suggesting that he might return to the MCU in a different role if ‘Blade’ doesn’t move forward as planned.
As you might know, Mahershala Ali has played more than one Marvel character. However, his other role is far less well-known compared to Blade, Marvel’s iconic vampire hunter.

Batman has perhaps the best rogues gallery in all the DC Universe, and I'm convinced The Batman Part II is planning to use a group of villains no movie has before. The Batman introduced an established world of DC villains, including Joker and Penguin, and it seems that the cast of The Batman Part II intends to make that world even bigger. The film will likely introduce multiple established villains to the world, and I believe Matt Reeves intends to focus on a group less explored in cinema.
With so many villains to choose from, it is inevitable that The Batman Part II's villain choices will disappoint some. Some have theorized that villains ranging from Mr. Freeze to Hush could be the film's primary antagonist. The Marvel Knights imprint was a branch of Marvel Studios that sadly didn't last long and kickstarted a longstanding mystery. While Punisher: War Zone and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance weren't beloved, they showed how Marvel Knights could work. There's hope that Marvel Knights could still return in some way but that may come with its greatest mystery not getting solved.
Marvel Studios has been around a lot longer than the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with founders like Keven Feige having a hand in the universe since 2000's X-Men. As a result, there has been a lot of growth and evolution that includes iconic hits like Iron Man and Spider-Man as well as colossal flops like X-Men Origins: Wolverine and 2003's Daredevil. But with every high and low, there were solid attempts to try something new that went even beyond the movies and television that brought many beloved characters to a wider audience.

Jean's homage to Ledger's Joker and Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man is pitch-perfect and just as professional-looking as a real Hollywood costume. In Marvel and DC Comics, tech-billionaire extraordinaire, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, and Gotham Citys Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker, are two characters who are synonymous with the best and worst of their respective comic book universes. Yet in a stunning Hollywood-level cosplay design, Heath Ledgers Joker dons his own set of Iron Man armor, creating a character that evens the playing field against Batman and his menagerie of crime-fighting gadgets and gizmos.
