    Very funny, very funny

Karlakórinn Hekla is a unique film to all the people of Iceland. (every Icelandic film unique, there are so few...) It´s very funny, even for the 13th time and that says a lot about the film. Nearly every Icelandic actor you´ll ever see in Icelandic movies is in this one. Mikið gaman, mikið fjör.

    A Classic Comedy!

Karlakórinn Hekla is one of my all time favorites. It has the greatest cast in a film that I have ever seen. This film also is not just a comedy it is an epic masterpiece that happens to be hilarious. The music is really good and a reason to see the film. The acting is so great and everyone are perfect for their roles. The director is really good and perfect for this film. The screenplay is also good however the acting is so good that it makes the film the classic that it is. I like the film a lot and it is a classic comedy and I hope people will watch it both Icelandic and not Icelandic. I give it 10/10 because it is the funniest film I have ever seen.

    Wrong Cortes credited

The biography for this Garðar Cortes is wrong. The Garðar Cortes that played in this movie is in fact the father of the actor put in that is put in the credited cast on IMDb.com. Some misunderstanding there obviously. The Garðar Cortes that acts in this movie is indeed a singer and this is probably his only movie. Garðar Thor Cortes on the other hand did play a character in a movie called Nonni And Manni. Also a singer and an actor, mostly on stage (well used to). As you might imagine, a 19 year old boy would never pass on as a man in his early forties or around fifties. A boy that age hardly would have as developed voice like that... Hardly. And just to point out to that error, I just had to.

    • Trivia
Director Guðný Halldórsdóttir aspired to make a film with some classical music in foreground. However, a friend of hers was singing in a men's choir and having listened to stories from a trip he went with his choir, she decided to make a film about men's choir using those stories as source material.
