Watch it for Madhuri and Salman chemistry. All performances are good though the story and direction could have been better. All Songs are good , ex
Remake of Professor 1962 starring Shammi Kapoor. Which was far better than this. Yet the original was not that great but watchable. Comparing the original, it's worse. Madhuri leads a sad life with her sad mother in a needy family. But she doesn't seem that, as Madhuri has no sadness and forgets her mother miseries, she is doing hiphop with Salman and sometimes Anupam and Kader. Howver, Madhuri looks so beautiful and hot here. The songs are not much good. I rated 6 only for Kader Khan and Anupam Kher. They are the best comedy due.
Sonia (Madhuri Dixit) is in need of money to support her ill mother. She disguises herself as Savitri, an older governess, and is hired by Chaudhary (Anupam Kher) for his young niece and nephew. His older nephew (Vijay, played by Salman Khan) meets her as herself and is immediately love-struck, little knowing she is also the governess. Chaudhary eventually falls in love with "Savitri" and Sonia finds herself in an interesting situation.
This romantic comedy has an uneven plot, being quite good in the beginning, then turning too silly. The songs, with the exception of the title song, are average. The dancing/choreography is a bit below average. The cast is good, and Dixit and Khan have good chemistry together. Kher, as always, gives a great performance. Dixit does a nice job balancing her two roles, but Khan is just average in this film. Overall, it's fun to watch, but not memorable.

If you watch this movie hoping to see something different you would be disappointed. There are some elements of 1972 Parichay you could see in this movie. Madhuri was pretty and competently did her role/s. Salman khan seemed a mismatch as he looked young, immature and unconvincing in his role. It was apparent the makers didn't invest too much in the songs dept, as they were below par by any standards. Anupam Kher and Kader Khan were upto their usual tomfoolery so nothing new there either. Anyone in 90s going to watch this movie would have done due to the craze of Madhuri, the rest of the cast were there just for the ambiance. Safely skip this one.
