    Pleasant time pass

After a debut in PARAMPARA(1991), Saif comes back in this old-age masala type of romance

Saif's mother and father are killed and he is adopted by a thief Kader Khan Some time later he impersonates Rakesh Rajpal, goes to a mansion owned by Saeed Jaffery and falls in love with his granddaughter Mamta Kulkarni But Saeed Jaffrey has something big to do with Saif's father which involved his death

The direction is well handled by Umesh Mehra The music is quite alright

Saif is quite amazing for a debut and so is Mamta Saeed Jaffery is perfect for his role Mohnish Behl is good Kader Khan is funny Sharmila Tagore is okay in her only appearance with her son on screen

    Superhit of 1993..

Movie has a typical but a good story.. All songs are superhit Bollywood songs... I was in 4th std. When released... I remember its super romantic songs......

The song played in the car

An honest taxi driver gives his own life rescuing his rich passenger. The passenger wants to take responsibility for the dead driver. But in a dramatic situation, the wife died in an accident and the passenger takes responsibility for the wrong mother and son duo.

The first 30 min is much dramatic and I found good, but after the first 30 min, the movie turns to another way and lost its story.

Too many loopholes make the movie one of the worsts. Many scenes has wrongly directed and wrongly edited. As if there is no director, no cameraman, no editor. Different dress in same scene of Saif Ali Khan, people crushes car glass wearing hand protector, the heroine laughs in the car. And so many examples as well.

I watch it only for Kader Khan.

    Fast, funny and flawless

This was Saif Ali Khans debut movie. He started of his career with two releases in the same year. The other was Parampara which did average business. Aashiq Awara starred his mother in a special appearance. It also featured the sexy newcomer Mamta Kulkarni. Aashiq Awaara is the typical Bollywood Masala movie, with everything from Action, lots of good comedy, romance, family drama, funny dialouges thanks to the amazing Kader Khan, who usually does the dialouges for all his movies. I absolutely loved this movie. The most funniest character in this movie and majority of Bollywood Movie is Kader Khan. This was one of Mamta's best movies, although she didn't do too well in Bollywood. The songs were decent. If you get a chance to see this. Go for it.
