    Curious but boring little film

I caught this on TV the other night and found myself strangely compelled to watch. Initially it was with the same morbid curiosity that one has about an automobile accident. After the initial fascination wore off, and I saw how bad the acting (or at least the dialogue) was, I wanted to turn it off but by that time I was fascinated for a number of other reasons.

First the actors that they got to portray the royals did look like them but in some way they looked even less real, and certainly less attractive than the real things. Second I was surprised at the locations in which they filmed. Several sequences were unmistakably shot in Windsor Castle. Having just been there a few months ago I was certain of the location and had a curious sense of déjà vu while at the same time I was surprised that the filming was allowed at these real locations.

Overall I'd give this a miss; unless you also have been there recently and haven't gotten your snaps back yet.
