    Funny, Intelligent & Clever

I haven't seen this film since I was 10 years old it used to play on family channel maybe once or twice it was original, clever and had a good plot throughout the movie.Dr. Jonas Carson (Thicke) has just completed his lifelong dream by creating an android (Underwood) to look like a normal 17 year old boy.

His daughter Becky (Lively) names him Chip, the doctor decides to send him to school to see how he'll interact with other kids his age and learn how to act human. However Carson's former boss Vogel (Bologna) has plans to kidnap the android and turn him into a military machine.

It was funny seeing Chip try to adapt to life as a normal teenager and the comical situations he gets into along the way but also proves himself to be nearly human when rescuing his dad and sister.

Not Quite Human was one of the best Disney movies I had ever seen as a kid and even today after seeing it after so many years it's still enjoyable.

    a funny, decent family/teenage film

'Not Quite Human' is a family film about a single father who builds a teenage son named Chip. Chip is awkward as he tries to mingle with the real teenage boys, and little does Chip know that there is a plot by a large toy company to kidnap him. The film is packed with action and humour, and you cannot help but to feel sorry for the characters, especially poor Chip as he tries to fit in to society and fails miserably. I have not seen this film in years, but it used to be shown several times on the Disney channel. I think that this film is easy for teenagers to relate to, especially those who are a little bit awkward themselves and bullied at school. It is just a fun film, and it is one that seems to have become lost.

    If memory serves true, AMAZING

Nothing better than an android boasting 80's technology and a coming-of-age storyline to pull your thoughts from the depths of your mind front and center to be taken captive by a beautifully lovable cast. Growing up in the 80's gave me the priceless opportunity to see re- runs of "not quite human" on many special occasions. Considering the fact that my parents were never present during the viewings, I would guess that I would most likely not enjoy it near as much as I did as a child. So perhaps this is a film to dig out of your VHS collection and hand to your kids, it can be found on the same tape as "The apple dumpling gang" and an episode of "tour of duty," that is if you recorded in LP mode of course.

    A corny cybernetic classic

Not Quite Human was a childhood favorite of mine. However, even though this made-for-TV movie now feels as dated as the technology in it, there's still something endearing about the story. It's a silly & simple plot, with stock characters you'd expect in a Disney movie made for teens, and it's a little slower, watching it as an adult, but I enjoyed sharing this corny cybernetic classic with my kids.

    Good Disney movie.

I haven't seen this movie since I was a little kid, but I loved it then. I am not sure if I want to watch it as an adult. I will probably notice all the things that are wrong with it. As a movie for kids I would recommend this movie. If you are an adult I don't know if I can recommend it. But trust me your kids are gonna love it.

      Chip: Dinner's ready.

      Becky: I'm not hungry.

Chip: Are you upset because Brian is taking Erin to the dance?

Becky: Please just leave me alone.

Chip: I can take you to the dance.

Becky: That's all I need, a 400-pound robo-geek stepping all over my feet. No thanks. Now would you just go away a quit ruing my life, okay?

Chip: I didn't mean to ruin your life, Becky.

Becky: Yeah, well you have. Ever since you came into this family.

      Chip: I'm sorry.

Becky: Just forget it. Look, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Chip: That's okay... I deserved it.

      [Chip leaves]

Becky: Feelings? I don't believe it!

[she rushes to the kitchen were Chip and Jonas are preparing for dinner]

Becky: Dad, you're not gonna believe this! Guess what? I hurt Chip's feelings.

Jonas: Well why would you want to-what?

Becky: He said he'd take me to the dance and I said no way and I swear, I hurt his feelings. I could tell.

Jonas: Now don't jump to any conclusions. You've gotta be rational and scientific. Chip, how do you feel?

      Chip: Feel?

Jonas: When Becky said she couldn't go to the dance with you. What was your reaction?

Chip: Something heavy, right in my central computer.

      Jonas: Yes?

Chip: Something hot, right near my video sensors.

Jonas: Becky, you may be right. He may be experiencing human emotion.

      Becky: Wow.

      Chip: Is that good?

Jonas: Good? If it's true, it's fantastic!
