Magee And The Lady

"Magee And The Lady" is the marginally improbable story of Magee, the captain and owner of a cargo ship that is commandeered in an Australian port because he has fallen behind with a loan repayment. The owner of the debt is a member of the Down Under aristocracy, and the only way Magee can save his prime asset is by catching up with this guy and repaying him. Unfortunately, he has taken off on holiday some three hundred miles away, so Magee kind of kidnaps his spoilt brat/lush of a daughter who with one bad marriage behind her is being pursued remorselessly by a suitor of her own class.

You can guess the rest, on the road to Daddy's holiday retreat the two encounter a fistful of bad guys while their adversity draws them closer together, especially as he is the first man who has ever said no to her, while the question of her saying no to him is never on the cards.
