It’s a deceptively big month on Prime Video in September! To kick things off, The Wheel of Time will be back for a second season on the service, while a live-action The Boys spinoff series called Gen V will be capping off the original series content later in the month.
But there are also some interesting new projects lined up between those two biggies. On September 15, Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen star in what is sure to be a delicious tale of revenge. Wilderness, based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, stars Coleman as a heartbroken wife who discovers her husband has been cheating on her after she gives up her whole life to move over to America with him and support his career.

The They Live episode of Wtf Happened to This Adaptation? was Written and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Mike Conway, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian. Here is the text of Hatfield’s script:
I bet you thought when we started covering adaptations that we would be going to the Stephen King well more than a few times and believe me, we will. Today though, we are covering our second John Carpenter helmed adaptation after we discussed The Thing in the inaugural episode. While that one was pretty well known for being a more faithful adaptation of the book his hero Howard Hawks had adapted, not a lot of people may realize that They Live was sparked from a very short comic that adapted a very short story.
We came here to chew bubble gum and find out what the f*ck happened to this adaptation,...

Tanya Roberts, the veteran actress who starred in A View to a Kill and That '70s Show, has passed away. Reportedly, Roberts was admitted to Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after she collapsed while she was out walking her dogs on Christmas eve. Roberts then died on Sunday, and while a cause of death wasn't given, it's not related to Covid-19, nor was Roberts feeling ill in the days before her collapse. She was 65 years old.
"I'm devastated," says Mike Pingel, Roberts' longtime friend and rep. "She was brilliant and beautiful and I feel like a light has been taken away. To say she was an angel would be at the top of the list. She was the sweetest person you'd ever meet and had a huge heart. She loved her fans, and I don't think she realized how much she meant to them."

Sheena, now a world-famous athlete, has been dubbed “the Lindsay Lohan of the wrestling world”. Forget No Holds Barred, Ready To Rumble and The Wrestler. Pretty much every wrestling fan has seen them, for better or for worse, and they’ve penetrated mainstream pop culture through cable reruns and award shows.
However, there’s a whole world of bizarre, terrible and oddly wonderful wrestling films that once seen, cannot be unseen. There’s vanity biopics, Japanese science fiction, and family-friendly dog shenanigans (seriously), but the common thread that stretches between them all is our beloved pseudo-sport.
I’ve included Immortal Dialogue for all of these cinematic treasures, and I want you to know that I didn’t just crib these from an IMDb quotations page. Don’t get me wrong, I totally would have, but most of these movies are so obscure that they don’t even have quotations on their IMDb pages!
You’re welcome.

Hollywood stuntman and film director who scored huge successes with Smokey and the Bandit and The Cannonball Run
Upset by the critical response to his work, the stuntman turned film director Hal Needham, who has died aged 82, took out advertisements in Variety and other trade papers. They featured quotes from negative reviews for his movies including Smokey and the Bandit (1977) and The Cannonball Run (1981), alongside a wheelbarrow overflowing with dollar bills.
Needham made a point. His rumbustious 1977 directorial debut had grossed over $100m – an enormous return on its modest budget. He was still milking that particular creation some 20 years later, producing and directing a series of television movies, including Bandit Goes Country and Beauty and the Bandit.
These and other films, many of which starred Burt Reynolds, were seen by an audience of hundreds of millions worldwide, yet few reference books acknowledged his 45-year-long career — an unjustified omission, if only...

Tomorrow, with the launch of Wreckateer, Microsoft will introduce the new cross-game Avatar Famestars reward program, hooking our Avatars up with new outfits and props for completing certain tasks in-game.
While current Avatar rewards can be seen while scoping out someone's profile, these new Famestars rewards can only be used while you're playing a Famestar equipped game. However, any reward you're granted in, let's say Wreckateer, can also be used in any other Famestar game.
So what other games will support the Avatar Famestar program? Quite a few actually. As we mentioned Wreckateer launches tomorrow and will kick things off, but other Xbla games – Full House Poker and A World of Keflings – will also receive updates that bring the program over on July 25th. Get all the details and a preview of some of the rewards below.

Booker says he didn’t want this, cause he was happy being on commentary. But still “To to hell with Michael Cole.” Booker says its about Cody trying to make a name for himself. And the Book will be damned if Cody gets legitimised off his name. Funny how he still uses the Five Time WCW Champion line, even though hes also a WWE Champion. I would have thought the WWE Nit pickers would have been all over that one. He adds that he’s going to win the Ic Title from Rhodes.

Daughters lock up your mothers, Junk Food Dinner returns! This week we take a look at three very different films and then say things about them in turn. It's new!
Up first, we get chummy (and a little gushy) with an oft overlooked horror/comedy entry into undead high school lore, I Was A Teenage Zombie from 1986. Not to mention it's killer soundtrack comprised of the likes of The Fleshtones, The Db's, The Waitresses, Alex Chilton, and more!
Next, Gem City's own Jim Van Bebber takes us on a tripped out ride through the eyes of Charlie and company in the 2004 film The Manson Family based on the infamous 1969 murders and the subsequent trial.
Finally, we learn that some nostalgia might be misplaced in the misstep that is Body Slam starring Dirk Benedict and Roddy Piper. Featuring a whole host of 80's footnotes. Everyone from Charles Nelson Rielly to Billy Barty!

Along with creating comedy shows, he hosted talkshows, gameshows and even variety shows. He even contributed to Mad Magazine. His famous mustache and cigar popped up all over the dial.

In case you are new to the Ong Bak trilogy, the new trailer for Ong Bak 3 should at least pique your interest. It is literally 60 seconds of awesome. From start to finish, this film looks just as intense as the first two installments of the cult hit series.
Anyway, the film appears to continue the trend of not sticking to a single storyline, a la James Bond. Collider explained the official synopsis for the third installment:
“The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved stepfather at the Garuda’s Wing cliff during the raid led by Jom Rachan (Saranyu Wonggrajang). Tien is brought back to life with help from Pim (Primrata Dechudom) as well as Mhen (Petchai Sirijanya), and is able to achieve ‘Nathayut.’ His talents are put to the test again when his rivals -- including the Golden-Armored King...
