GoBots War of the Rock Lords follows along the footsteps of the Challenge of the GoBots TV series and expands into a feature length 75 minute runtime, featuring plenty of action and adventure with some notable GoBots for all the GoBot fans out there. It's been a long time since I've seen it, but can tell you it was a great film for the GoBots, best know for CyKill, Leader 1 and more.
Since the first Transformers movie was released, Warner Brothers needs to take advantage of its license of the GoBots and release it to DVD. It's long overdue and there's plenty of robot fans and GoBot fans out there waiting for this film and the TV show box set. DVD/Blu Ray for 2011? Vote yes to the GoBots on DVD/Blu Ray, let Warner Bros know!

I thought that the characters were really neat and all had great personalities. The animation in My opinion was crisp, clean, and really clear. Not to mention beautiful! Most of the characters in this show all have great personalities. in My opinion these characters are some of the best ever seen. In fact, The things that goes on in this series' cartoons are in My opinion action packed which that is what makes the show good. There are so many characters to like If you like the other classic 1980s' animated cartoons like The GoBots, M.A.S.K., Transformers, C.O.P.S. and many others then I strongly recommend that you watch this show!
I admit I did watch more of the GoBots in childhood than I did the original G1 Transformers. Yes, they do have their similarities but some of the characters from both shows have personality.
Anyway, the Rock Lords movie was an interesting piece. Yes, we get all-new characters in the form of a race of golem-like beings and it wasn't bad. I used to watch this movie all the time but I can't remember the last time I saw it. The Rock Lords were an interesting species. And in all honesty, these stone beings should have gotten their own series a long time ago. With all the reboots going around at the moment, it seems likely. I mean, you can only cover so much in one movie. And all those characters should have been fleshed out too.
Rock Lords might not have aged gracefully but it had an interesting plot. The main stars who played the Rock People did their jobs quite well. I'm not sure I'd watch it again but I can always look on YouTube to see what I remember and what I don't.
If you're not a fan of transforming robots, then this is probably skippable. If you like cheesy yet interesting popcorn plots try it. I'm sure it's a lot better than those live Michael Bay Transformer films.

The whole movie was to sell toys. Even Leader one was awful when he didn't want to save Cy- kill, the nut. Is this the same Leader- one? Not that the psycho didn't deserve to be saved, they should have put more thought into this movie not just to sell more toys. The part of the lava scene was unrealistic and they should have added more young go bots. Get rid of those weird rock creatures and put in some young guardians and renegades. They are girl go bots so I resume that they can reproduce since they have souls of men and brains. The only smart people in this entire movie were the girls, Soltaire, small foot and A.j. It would be better if you had a hot shot guardian trying to get himself in trouble than three old pros and a rebellious renegade fighting with old rusty renegade.
This was the greatest movie I have ever seen. I used to hate the go-bots but have come to love them since seeing this.
The Rock Lords and Go-bots form an alliance that proves that good things can come from bad situations, a must see for any child or adult that loves childish things.
This maybe be hanna-Barbara s greatest accomplishment to date. Anyone who wants to recapture there youth and vigor will enjoy this movie immensely. I suggest it for people of any age.
A must See.
I give it a 10

- TriviaArthur Burghardt, who voiced Turbo, had to step in as the voice of Cop-Tur due to the unfortunate death of Bob Holt, who originally voiced the character.
- GoofsThe Renegade scientist; Herr Fiend, is present among the Guardian Council during the Renegade attack on Gobotron. Yet, when he does appear later aboard Rogue Star, he has been replaced with the Guardian Baron Vonjoy. Yet still speaks in Herr Fiend's voice. This was likely due to a mix up in the character model sheets.
