Mrs. Krantz, who runs a dilapidated hotel on the Atlantic coast with her daughter, has only two passions: gin and stories of gigolos that her neighbor Laurie used to voluptuously tell her, before being murdered by one of them, a certain Michel, who has just married for her money a young girl whose sister is aiming for the fortune. Mrs. Krantz sets off in pursuit of the murderer in a colorful saraband that goes from comedy to drama, and from laughter to screams.
