I first saw this in the early 90s on a vhs.
Revisited it recently to have a glimpse of the beautiful buxom Monique Gabrielle. Her busty tits made a lasting impression on my young teen mind then.
To be honest, this film doesn't have a single scary scene or any good kill, it's not even comedic at all except for Dick Miller's scene where he keeps on saying boy o boy...
And I don't kno why the character of David Carradine kept on flicking his cloak.
The film is about a cartoon monster which comes out alive a la Cellar Dweller n terrorizes hot babes in a haunted mansion. Of course, it shouldn't be taken seriously.
Watch out for Monique Gabrielle's nude scene in front of the mirror n the shapely Madison Stone's strip dance. As a gym trainer, I am really impressed with Madison's shapely body, especially her glutes.

Roxanne (porn star Madison Stone), Jan (porn star Barbara Dare), Terry (Suzanne Ager), and nerdy Megan (Monique Gabrielle) are hired by Burt (Dick Miller) to spend a weekend cleaning up an old house. You know Megan is the nerdy one because she wears glasses. Anyway, they are delivered a Necronomicon looking book by Gideon Fisk (David Carradine) and, after an incantation is read aloud, a cartoon wolf creature springs forth and starts killing folks. Leave it to Fred Olen Ray to call his film EVIL TOONS, yet only have one cartoon in it with only roughly a minute of animated footage to boot. WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT this ain't. This is deliberately goofy stuff and it serves its purpose (topless scenes) for its 82 minutes. The funniest bits are nearly all from Miller, including a scene where he DOESN'T want to get it on with his horny wife (Michelle Bauer). Carradine probably only shot one day on this for drug money and Ray hilariously cuts to reaction shots of him to make you think he is just chilling outside. See David Carradine slink behind a tree! Helping beef up the "name" factor is Arte Johnson as a perv neighbor. It is filmed at that same recognizable house where Ray also did TEENAGE EXORCIST and SPIRITS. Wynorski also did SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE II there.
In Evil Toons, buxom scream queen Monique Gabrielle plays prim and proper virginal co-ed Megan, but don't worry, she still gets her tits out - this is a Fred Olen Ray film, after all.
Megan is one of four sexy girls hired by Burt (cult B-movie legend Dick Miller) to spruce up an old mansion ready for the new owners. While there, the four babes are approached by a strange man, Gideon Fisk (David Carradine), who gives them an old book, bound in something that looks suspiciously like human skin, and with a scary face on the cover; before you can say Necronomicon, the girls have read a passage from the book out loud and summoned an evil spirit that takes the form of a cartoon monster. The animated creature kills sexy brunette Roxanne (pornstar Madison Stone), assumes her form, and goes on the rampage.
As a horror movie, Evil Toons is seriously lame, but I reckon you knew that already, didn't you? It's not any better as a comedy. The film is little more than an excuse to get its sexy stars to flash their boobs and bums as often as possible while ripping off both 'The Evil Dead' and 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' in the process. Being very low budget, there's not much in the way of animation, and what there is is pretty bad. All four of the main 'actresses' get naked to some degree (two of them have worked extensively in the adult industry, so they aren't exactly the shy and retiring type); even scream queen Michelle Bauer, who appears as Burt's girlfriend, finds the time to flip out her norks during her brief cameo.
As in The Evil Dead, the malevolent monster is destroyed when Megan throws the book into a fire, but only after lots of puerile nonsense that proves extremely wearisome, even despite all of the T&A.

Face it, Evil Toons was never conceived as Oscar material. It's a deftly crafted spoof on every B & C horror movie made in the last 50 years. You have your typical Blonde, Brunette & Redhead with their brainy friend (she's the one with the glasses, natch) bimbos who get a job cleaning out an old house. They find an evil object, release a nasty spirit and get killed off in ways that reflect who they are. Then your cameo (David Carridine) comes in and tells the surviving (smart) one how to repair the damage, and everything comes up roses. Looked at it this way, you have a quickie shoot transformed into a masterful spoof. I loved it, you will to, if you don't take it too seriously!
I've read the various reviews of this flick and some of y'all just don't get it. Obviously, it's cheap and poorly made...so go with that and relax. It's a perfect throwback to 80's horror/comedy filmmaking. Sexist? Whatever. If you rented this one you wanted to see a few bimbos get naked and then get dead. You also wanted to see a "...Roger Rabbit" type horror film. So, you get the first and not really the last. Live with it. Madison Stone gives an award winning performance for a porn star and David "Kung-Fu" Carradine seems a little less drunk than he did in his mail order tai-chi how-to video. You also get cult star Dick Miller and Laugh-In nazi Arte Johnson...oh, how could I forget Monique Gabrielle, in her best topless scene since Bachelor Party?! Plot? Kinda'. Nudity? You betcha'. Cartoon monster? Long enough for this kid. Enjoy at your own risk....who cares what your friends think anyway.

- TriviaWriter/director Fred Olen Ray initially pitched the idea for this picture to legendary exploitation movie producer Roger Corman. Ray told Corman he could make the film for only $250,000 dollars. Corman turned Ray down on the grounds that said budget was too low. So Ray made the picture on his own for only $140,000 dollars.
- GoofsWhen Megan's pony tail stands on end, you can see the wire and attachment on the end of her pony tail, lifting it up.
