    Twisty thriller

My review was written in January 1990 after watching the movie on Vidmark video cassette.

This sequel to a 1986 Canadian-made thriller is notable for snapy pacing and a rather complicated plot line. Helmer Chuck Vincent downplays his usual skin quotient, however.

Wings Hauser plays a fairly sympathetic role for a change, an unscrupulous stockbroker married to art dealer Kathy Shower who decides to have a romance with Linda Blair after he spies on Shower in a sexual tryst with an artist.

All hell breaks loose when Blair is murdered and both Hauser and Shower are prime suspects. Key to unravelling the mystery is a wall portrait of Hauser's late first wife, which closely resembles one of the other characters.

En route to a bittersweet finale, the cast does a good job in alternately creating sympathy and suspicion. Vincent's favorite actress, Jane Hamilton, pops up in a key supporting role. It's all played on the surface, but the plot is intriguing enough to hold one's interest.

not a bad movie , .. from the cover.. looks erotic or softcore. but its not.

The movie is good in start to half of it then it gets weirder n weirder. many does have many twist and turns until the end.

anyhow the movie is really lacking alot of sex or nude scenes.

    Uninteresting.

I thought the first "Bedroom Eyes" was a pretty bad film unworthy of a sequel, but here comes the (totally unrelated) "sequel" and it's even worse. A thoroughly bland, uninteresting and unmemorable "erotic" thriller that was never, I believe, released to theatres. The two washed-up stars (Wings Hauser and Linda Blair) add nothing worth mentioning. (*)

    Wings Hauser shines..........

Wings Hauser, as always, shines in the role of Harry Ross, with Linda Blair as his love interest.

However the script was rather weak. My first impression was that the film was going to be about Wall Street, even after the sister-in-law turned up at Harry's office. Had the office scenes been left out this would have been a lot better to watch, however, any film with Wings Hauser in is worth watching, and this is no exception.

Definately a film for Wings Hauser fans.

The plot is like quicksand ........

The plot is like quicksand, sucking Wings Hauser deeper and deeper into unpleasantness. He has cheating wife problems with Kathy Shower. He has relationship problems with Linda Blair. He has a revenge seeking former lover trying to kill him. Finally there is the matter of an insider trading scheme that seems to be irrelevant to the story. With all this going on, Wings still has time to regularly play "hide the Salami" with almost everyone involved. This is really nothing more than after hours soft porn, woven around a noir plot, with decidedly mixed results. Fortunately the film is edited rather sharply, so it tends to move along, but ultimately is very confusing, and really goes nowhere. I would say Wings fans might be interested, but that's about it. - MERK
