Appuntamento in nero

This seems pretty straight forward, but it's also quite confusing. At least at first that is. But first things first, this is an erotic thriller. It does involve rape though which is always horrible, even when telling yourself it's just a film. Apart from those scenes, there are also acts of consent in it, they all have a musical score laid over them (at least the version I saw, which states it is uncut).

A lot of nudity then and a lot of "mystery". One of the mysteries outside this movie is why the blonde (character name Eva) does not appear to have done more movies. I did not investigate this further, but she surely had the looks. Acting wise I wouldn't judge those involved too harshly in this one, it's not really Shakespeare. Yet as mentioned, quite complicated. Which you either love or it'll be too late to be a saving grace for the movie

Soft erotic Italian flick dubbed in English and called Naked Rage. Still a hard to get VHS and is OOP and never had a proper release except on VHS. Angela (Mirella Banti) is a neurotic woman that is having nightmares about being raped or ravaged. By having that dream she's out to search men who wants to have sex and is seeking revenge against them. But suddenly she get phone calls...

It's a bit confusing sometimes because there's the guy who has seen her faking a rape and the one on the phone. There's also her man who has an affair with Eva (Mary Lindstrom) both wanting to kill Angela.

But to be honest. It's all about the nudity here. There's no suspense at all just a lot of nudity from both females but never full frontal, strange for an erotic flick. It never really became erotic or whatsoever. There are better erotic flicks out. Maybe it's the acting or the slowness of the flick that made it a bit boring. I can't tell. The only effect being used is in the last seconds, laughable. Being hunted down by collectors only for Mirella Banti.

This film is delightfully awful. Although made in the 90s, it feels thoroughly like an 80s film, specifically a cheap erotic thriller made in Italy in the 80s. If that description sounds good to you then you know that to expect. If bad acting, ridiculous plot twists, and horrible dubbing don't sound fun to you then we might expect very different things out of our film viewing experiences.
