I kept on learning and hearing about this show throughout my adolesence, until I was 12 years old. Yes, I watched it through Prime Video. The show was a masterpiece! Everything about it is amazing. :)
Of course, I love both Mario and cartoons! But... when those two mix together, well... guess what? It gets better and better all the very time! There are a number of other 90's cartoons that I very easily enjoy, just like The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3:
1. SpongeBob SquarePants 2. Adventures of the Gummi Bears 3. Darkwing Duck 4. Ren & Stimpy 5. The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show 6. Rugrats 7. Bonkers 8. Goof Troop 9. Pokémon 10. Gargoyles 11. Mighty Ducks 12. Quack Pack 13. Hey Arnold!
14. The Wild Thornberrys 15. The Powerpuff Girls 16. Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon 17. Aaahh!!! Real Monsters 18. Timon & Pumbaa 19. TaleSpin 20. Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.

I played Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES. I'm glad that this cartoon had the 7 Koopa Kids. They took so many inspirations from the game and put them in the show. I love that Mario and the gang going into King Koopa's castle for most of the time. I did found out that Tara Strong played the voices of Hip and Hop (a.k.a Lemmy and Iggy Koopa). I liked the fire flower, super leaf and frog suit in the game and in the cartoon. An entertaining show for kids and Nintendo fans to watch.
I remember watching the Mario cartoons in the early 90s. They're not bad, but they haven't aged well. The animation is dodgy and plagued by continuity errors. The sound mixing is poor on some episodes, not all of them, mind you. The music is so loud, that you can't hear the dialogue. And the songs. Dear God, the songs are HORRIBLE! They're sung with really screechy cartoony voices that makes it seen like a bad X Factor audition. However, the stories aren't too bad, it is true to the games, and it's nice to hear Mario speak in his Brooklyn accent, instead of his stereotypical Italian one. Overall, not bad, but not that great.
This was one of my favorite cartoons when I was younger. The story was great and the characters were straight from Nintendo, except for Captain N. I wish it would come back on some channel. The Super Mario Bros. part was a great thing also. I loved watching the adventures of Mario and Luigi.
I guess I must be pretty spoiled from frequently watching Looney Tunes from animation's "golden years" (1940s-1950s) - 'Cause I found that seeing something like "Super Mario" (from 1990) left me with the feeling of being thoroughly cheated by this show's totally inferior animation and dissatisfying entertainment-value.
It sure seemed to me that the irksome eccentricity of the characters in this particular animated series all came across as being completely annoying and absolutely forgettable.
While - On the other hand - I have found that the whole "Looney Tunes" cast (even 60 year later) still endure and remain amusing and memorable (except, of course, for the Roadrunner).
All-in-all - I strongly wish that Super Mario (and all the rest of the dimwit gang) had just been left as video game characters.

- TriviaAccording to the Writer's Bible, Princess Toadstool is 17 years old.
- GoofsThe Koopa Kids are the victims of numerous animation errors/miscolorings/etc. For instance, in one scene in The Beauty of Kootie, Kootie Pie's skin color clearly switches back and forth numerous times in the same frame. Likewise, Kooky was once drawn with green hands. Errors like this are extremely common, throughout the series.
