I have loved this movie since I was younger. The only version I have is taped off of tv and it's so old and worn that the quality is pretty bad. This movie is an all time favorite of mine, to me it's a classic like Dirty Dancing. Yeah it is a little cliched, but I always cry at the ending. I just graduated high school the end of May and this movie gives me inspiration, and I loved the senior class's performance of Atlantis, it not only signifies the end of their school, but also of their time together, but they celebrate and rejoice, and yeah I still cried, but it also makes me excited for the time I had and the times yet to come. I think it's a wonderful inspirational message and theme, and nobody second rates themself to impress some stupid boy aka "Grease"-yes a classic favorite of mine, but she gives up all her values and morals for some grease head, plus some of the songs are pretty dirty, that old classic loved so much has a hint a bad moral and theme. ANYWAYS I love Sing in fact right now I'm trying to find a real copy, that's not half black and white with faltering sound, because I love the songs! I have a TAPE of the soundtrack, so I'm not sure how to get a recent copy. AWESOME MOVIE, BACK TO THE BASICS, which I think is important to have in society today.
This is my favorite movie. The characters are believable and the story includes many interesting twists. You have the typical "girl-next-door" who falls for the "bad boy" of their high school, despite her inner voice telling her "he's all wrong, he's not good enough". The songs are catchy and clever (if you listen to the words). From the opening theme song to the gripping "Sing" finale, the music draws you into the emotional roller-coaster you end up on as these students fight the school, the system, and sometimes each other in order to pull off this "One last Sing". This movie is a drama, comedy, romance and musical all rolled into one. One minute you're laughing, the next you're crying. It is similar in style to Dirty Dancing or Stomp.

This movie has always been my absolute favorite, ever since it came out just before I entered high school. It's the classic "Rebel Without a Cause" story with incredible music and dancing. Just recently, after 7 years of searching, I purchased the soundtrack. I've had it for a few months now and I have yet to take it out of my CD player! It's an incredible story with incredible song and dance. If you've never seen it before rent it from your local video store. It's well worth it!
Sing is sort of the pinnacle of cliched movies. In this case, the movie is based off a real-life event that occurs in many Brooklyn-area high schools called Sing, where the seniors and underclassmen square off in a musical production. This movie centers around that event at one Brooklyn-area high school. The new teacher Miss Lombardo (Bracco) is in charge of the event, and she brings in the senior class bad boy and good girl to work together, even though they do not like each other. You can guess what happens. For fun, the school board makes it known that the school will be shut down at the end of the semester, and it is not allowed to have the Sing event. No reason is given for this, except so the students can rebel and have the event anyways. Completely predictable film, but a very strong performance by Bracco (with a very thick Brooklyn accent)helps a lot to make the movie flow better. Also, look for Cuba Gooding Jr. in a very small role near the end of the film.
this movie the first time i saw it caught my eye. it's gives a plot that some students can relate to...having to work with somebody you don't know or can't stand. but in the end, you both become friends or in some cases more than friends b/c you judged somebody that you didn't even know. believe me if you get the chance to see this movie...WATCH IT!
