Series ends at its worst point

The original 'The Parent Trap' film series ends at its worst point.

'Parent Trap: Hawaiian Honeymoon' is a bore, despite a refreshing change of location though it becomes a bit pointless in the end. There aren't really any 'Parent Trap-y' elements until the third act, with a lot of this dedicated to potential romances for two of the three sisters.

All the cast remain which I always appreciate; same roles but different actors always bother me. Hayley Mills (Susan/Sharon), Barry Bostwick (Jeffrey) and the Creel sisters are all solid enough. None of the new characters, e.g. Jayne Meadows' Charlotte, add all that much though.

At least they saw sense by ending things here, well until they remade the 1961 film nine years after the release of this anyway. My overall feelings for these quartet of films are largely respectful, which I didn't expect to be frank. 1 is the only great watch, though 2 is good - I could've done without 3 & 4.

Not the greatest, but not that bad either

I'm not a big fan of this movie, but it's still nice to see Hayley Mills and Barry Bostwick in a continuation of Parent Trap III. Even I'll admit it, making a movie called "Parent Trap: Hawaiian Honeymoon" is pushing it a little - but to those who grew up loving Hayley Mills (like my father) and those who grew up loving Leanna Creel from Saved By the Bell (like me) this movie is worth a look at. Would have been nice if they'd gotten Tom Skirrett from "Parent Trap II" back... but, oh well. It's amusing, but probably only to those die-hard Parent Trap fans.

Trapped in Hawaii: Aloha Good Times

Good watch, probably won't watch again, and can't recommend.

I can't believe it took 3 movies to get back to being relatively charming again.

We get the triplet shuffle this time, dealing with the girls' dates in a positive fashion, we get twin shuffling, and the plot of "we inherited a tiny Hawaiian hotel" is one that I want to see again!

It's not a great movie by far, but it was fun.

Two of my favorite things in one package!

What's NOT to love about this cute little addition to a childhood favorite franchise?

A). It's the Parent Trap and B). They're in Hawaii! Sure it has some plot holes here and there, but it's got a lot of charm. I recently watched this again as an adult and it's just as good as I remember on Wonderful World of Disney!

So if you're in the mood for something fun & nostalgic with beautiful scenery sprinkled on top, this is your flick.

    Fun and extremely quotable

A continuation of the Parent Trap 3 movie, it is a fun ride. Lots of great lines and the new characters are a lot of laughs. I watch it at least once a year.

    • Trivia
Just like in La fiancée de Papa (1961) and its previous sequels, one actress, Hayley Mills, plays twin sisters Susan and Sharon. However, just like in Les femmes de Papa (1989), on-screen triplet sisters Megan, Lisa, and Jessie Wyatt are portrayed by real-life triplets Joy Creel, Leanna Creel, and Monica Lacy respectively.
    • Goofs
When Jeffrey is trying to touch up the name on a boat, Ray sits on the other end of the boat, causing the paintbrush to smear some paint. Jeffrey tries to wipe the paint, but in the next shot, there isn't any paint smear at all.
    • Quotes

      Charlotte Brink: MISS WYATT!

Lisa Wyatt: [pretending to be Jessi, but still acting like her normal self] You do NOT have to scream, y'know. We're all on the same island.

Charlotte Brink: Well! You've certainly gotten a little snappy. I must be wearing you out after all.

Lisa Wyatt: No, I just think you ought to keep your voice down.

Charlotte Brink: And why is that?

Lisa Wyatt: Because it's hard to hear the volcanoes erupt. Now, what can I get you?

    • Crazy credits
At the end of the credits, Mrs. Brink says "And what is that dreadful music?! Turn it off!" Then, the movie's score stops playing.
