    Not much of a comedy.

This English title of this movie sounds like it could be a very funny comedy, One Husband Too Many. It is actually a sequel to A Happy Bigamist and follows the lives of Hsia Chih-Hsin (Anthony Chan) and Hui An-Hua (Kenny Bee) after their wives have left them. Then they both meet and try to woo Frances (Cherie Chung).

There are some laughs here and there, but this movie turns out to be a competition between the male leads on who gets the girl, so, one person will lose out at the end. Anthony Chan did OK, but Kenny Bee became too much of a goodie two-shoe in the movie. Anita Mui was reduced to just a small cameo, unfortunately, and Cherie Chung has some nice screen presence. But overall, the plot fails to gain any traction due to its limited redeeming qualities, lack of excitement and intrigue. It's just a dull romantic comedy with a few laughs.
