    Protect yourself from this Hifazat!

Hifazat is a typical 1980s masala movie which has drama, melodrama, action and romance, and pretty much everything in it is senseless, beyond any logic, and based on coincidences. The movie does bring a few laughs here and there, but in most parts it is unintentionally funny rather than witty and humorous. The film stars Anil Kapoor and he does fairly well with what his role allows him to do. Madhuri Dixit is natural and amazingly beautiful. Pran is okay as Thakur. The queen of acting, Nutan, is given a silly role of a typical victimised and suffering woman, which is a true insult to an actress of her calibre, although she herself does well in whatever she is given. The supporting cast has more caricatures than real characters. Bindu, Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover and Kader Khan are all examples of that, although I personally always like Bindu and Kader Khan no matter what they're doing and in this one Khan was quite funny as always. The film's music is the saving grace of the film, well that is to be expected when the music director is R.D Burman. "Mohabbat Kya Hai" is a beautiful song. However, there is one song called "Batata Vada" which I found really pathetic and bizarrely choreographed. It really got on my nerves. The film's ending is contrived and was predictable from the beginning. Hifazat is just another of the many awful movies the Hindi film industry used to make at that time.

Great movie packed with action and comedy.

Hifazat is a great movie with action, comedy, romance and family drama. It tells the story of Pran, who is forced to marry again after his Wife Nutun had 3 miscarriages. His second wife Bindu and her brother Kader Khan are there for Prans money. They try to fool him and frame him for murder, so they can inherit his wealth. Pran gets arrested and sentenced, His First Son Anil gets separated and his First Wife gets brutally abused by the family. The movie then moves on to what happens, when they get older.

Anil Kapoor gives a Great performance as usual. Madhuri Dixit is lovable and looks sexy as usual. The late Nutun is one of Bollywood's golden Actress, in a impressive role. Bindu, is the women you love to hate and is good as ever. Shakti Kapoor is great as the evil villain son of Bindu. Gulshan Grover is Funny as the comic baddie. Pran is good as usual. Ashok Kumar ain't so bad. But the movie belongs to Kader Khan. Kader Khan gives one of his funniest performances yet again, he truly is the King of Comedy. He has this famous dialogue used in this film, where he always gives three reasons for every work.

Reason cant remember. Reason Two = Its not so important Reason Three = I forgot......................and again Reason i know this Reason Two = You know this, so don't ask Reason Three = None of us know.

A Entertaining Movie, that is worth the watch

    Typical bollywood masala

HIFAZAT is the typical 80s masala with action, comedy, romance and drama Nutan is the owner of such a big property But gets inflicted tortures by Bindu (the other woman in the life of someone's husband) and her son Shakti Kapoor Anil is the missing son of Pran and Nutan and he pretends to be their missing son to save Nutan from the tortures

Anil Kapoor is fine Madhuri Dixit is lovable Gulshan Grover is funny as the comical villain Kader Khan is really funny and makes the movie enjoyable Shakti Kapoor makes a sinister villain Bindu is typecast Ashok Kumar isn't bad Nutan, the golden actress, plays her role to the hilt Pran rocks all the way Sharat Saxsena is boring
