Brilliant ......but not all the time.

Revisited every episode of this show recently after also viewing all of the Videos Show/Cassette too.

I think overall I prefer the Thames series that seemed to have more emphasis on music and weekly guests. It definitely has a more DIY and zippy feel to it.

That's not to be critical of the BBC Television show. It's brilliant at times. Viewing it for the first time in approximately 35 years certainly brought back fond memories of a well loved entertainer. In my youth this really was unmissable TV.

I have no doubt it has zero chance of being repeated on TV because in today's woke / snowflake generations it will be seen as badly dated and even a tad racist and most definitely sexist. I do not have an issue with this as it's mostly harmless fun but some will be no doubt be shocked that this was mainstream TV in the late 70's to late 80's.

I am currently up to the end of series four and the quality does dip with each series in my opinion, the first two series are definitely of superior quality.

All said this is a great piece of nostalgia that has been a very enjoyable lockdown companion.

    Unmissable nostalgia

An absolute genius taken from us far too soon even today (2022) still miss "Kuddly Ken" Feeling blue give this a whirl it'll brighten your day. Sure you wouldn't get away with this in todays "I'm offended by everything" world but was a staple of my teen years.actually now I think about it "angry of Mayfair" would fit in perfectly today. Beloved characters "Sid Snot" "Marcel Wave" "Gizzard Puke" no one ever did it like Kenny along with an array of star guests and bands of course who could forget the gorgeous "Hot gossip" tame by todays "pop star" standards but outrageous in the 80s and we LOVED it. Thank you Kenny R. I. P.

All done in the best possible taste!

It is hard to see why Monty Python and Benny Hill have gone on to become so popular and legendary worldwide, while The Kenny Everett Television Series has remained virtually unknown. Kenny Everett is as Funny and fresh as the Pythons and certainly no worse than Benny Hill. Any Americans who havent heard of Cuddly Ken must track down the tapes, you will be guaranteed to love and laugh them to death. Favourite characters include, Cupid Stunt,Sid Snot, Gizzard Puke, Maurice Mimer, Spider-man, Marcel Wave and Up your way. Favourite sketches are any with Cupid or Sid, but inparticularly the hillarious Spider-man sketches. Like the one in wich Spidey tries every toilet and they are all being used untill he finally gets one and cant find his zip to, erm, releave himself. Or the one in wich Spidey jumps through a Daily Bugle window and breaks wind. To wich the cast and crew break up into fits of laughter. "Oh but im telling you the plot, go see it yourself. Its all done in the best Posssssssssssible taste!"

Absolute madness in the tradition of Monty Python

Classic television show and very hard to find these days. Shown recently on cable here in Oz. Hilarious sketches and Cleo Rocos is gorgeous. Very clever and a finite work as Kenny died a few years ago. Should have been a hit in America as Monty Python has been.
