I have watched many movies over the years ranging from Disney to porn. With science-fiction and horror in between. But, very few are as memorable as Taboo. This story, in the porn genre, is a film that dares to step into a world beyond anything before. Sure, everyone has heard of incest. But, to see, now that is straight bold. Even though none of the actors or actresses are related, the story and the acting of Kay Parker, the mother who seduces her son out after her husband leaves, is convincing. And, even if this film were not about mom sleeping with her son, she was still a hottie for her time and all her movies are worth mentioning and that is why I suggest this movie to any porn-lovers out there.

Very watchable mid period classic hardcore. The mother/son incest theme I can take or leave but it was convincingly done. Kay Parker as the late 30 year old mother was spot on and gives an excellent performance, with and without cock in her mouth. Her son, played by Mike Ranger is fine but looks a little older than the 19 years accredited to him. There is not too much storyline and everyone seems relaxed and happy with their respective roles. Very well paced, there is for once not a scene that outstays its welcome and with varied cinematography and music (occasionally none!) this looks and feels like a laid back late 70s enterprise. Oh, some great shots out on the streets of San Francisco too as a bonus.

This film is easily the finest adult film of all time. Even forgetting about the somewhat controversial theme, the scenes are HOT. Kay Parker is so much more sexual than any of the modern porn "queens" it's a joke. Mike Ranger as her son actually appears to thoroughly enjoy himself (as you would, as it appears that he and KP carried on an affair after the filming ended...after listening to the DVD commentary on the re-issue). After listening to an online radio interview with Kay Parker from 1999, she mentioned that she was at first uneasy about taking the role due to the theme of incest, but decided that she wanted to be the one who brought a touch of "class" to the subject and decided to proceed. And thank goodness she did, because I doubt if anyone else could have done as good a job. Modern film makers of the adult genre should study this film and see what they should be producing, not the endlessly looped gonzo rubbish that passes for porn today. Even though Kirdy Stevens never recaptured the heat of the original, he should be thanked for this piece of porn's finest.

"Taboo" has the best sex scenes ever filmed, the 2 scenes between mother and son are incredible, not to mention the orgy scene and the girl who has never cum. A definite must have, great direction, steamy and hot subject matter, and one of the most beautiful leading ladies(Kay Parker) in film history adult or mainstream. This is back when people at least tried to act in porn, but this is just a good film that has hardcore sex in it, you can enjoy a good story and get off a rare combo.Not to be a perv. but thats why most of us watch sex movies, and there is no better one than this. Take my word and rent this or just buy it,it never gets old, there is a special edition DVD of this out now with commentary by Kay and director and writer.*****out of*****

Deservedly regarded as one of the best movies of Porn's 'Golden Age', TABOO excels in every department.

The stunning Kay Parker is unforgettable as the frustrated and finally incestuous mother Barbara Scott, bringing an integrity to her role that is rare in this genre. Thoroughly sensual, but never remotely sleazy, she became on the strength of this portrayal the most renowned British born porn actress, except ironically in her native country where censorship prevented it from being widely shown.

Kirdy Stevens clearly went to considerable pains with every aspect of the film and its successors and brings maximum intensity to the sex scenes, not least the two between Barbara's son Mike Ranger and girlfriend Dorothy Le May, one in which they're joined by her friend Tawny Pearl. Stevens' skills are matched by those of his partner Helene Terrie whose excellent script includes some really funny dialogue, mainly for Barbara's wacky and outrageous confidante Gina who eats, breathes and sleeps sex. Played with great aplomb by the wonderful Juliet Anderson, she provides an amusing and erotic counterpoint to the main story.
