Cool weird flick! Strangest ever made?

This movie is so strange it simply must be seen. If the idea of Yasmin Bleeth and Buddy Hackett in the same film isn't enough to blow your mind; just watch a few minutes. The movie is totally surrealistic. Difficult to say whether it would be better to smoke pot first or not. It could be TOO much if you were stoned. Then again, you might need to be high to handle it. You'll understand what I'm saying after you see this. Could be a stiff challenge for even the top weirdies like "The Forbidden Zone" I promise you'll never think of Buddy Hackett the same way again. I rented it because the Blockbuster had absolutely nothing to watch that day, funny how you run across things you'd never find any other way.

Great movie...Yasmin Bleeth really does alot for the movie.

This is one of my top 10 movies. Although I may be the only one who thinks so.

Although Hey Babe! is centralized around two main characters ( Yasmine Bleeth, and Budy Hacket) it still is a great story. The young yasmine bleeth plays a 12 year-old orphan that wants nothing more than to preform on broadway. But since she doesnt have...well anything going for her, she has to lie and steal to get anything. That is until she meets up with a has-been actor. After a little turbulence they hit it off. Their relationship is not bound by age or status...they help each like they are father and daughter. I dont want to give away anymore...so i'll just say that i defenitly reccomened this movie to anyone who's in the need for a pick me up.

This movie proves that if you fly with your own wings you can never soar too high. That no matter who you are...or where your from you can make it if you want it bad enough.

      Creepy

Buddy hacked spends the whole movie dancing and courting a 12 year old girl, who is dressed up and highly sexualized. I was shocked that no one found this extremely inappropriate. This movie was made by pedophiles.

      creepy af

12 year old streetwise Theresa O'Brian (Yasmine Bleeth) is an orphan living in New York desperate to break into entertainment. She encounters drunken former entertainer Sammy Cohen (Buddy Hackett) living in an abandoned theater who promises to make her a star.

The combination of a kiddie stripper and a drunken comic could be a bad sitcom duo or a bad indie. It's a bad indie but it is interesting to see old New York and a young Yasmine. She's often in stripper makeup and the stripping scene is creepy af. Buddy tries to be funny sometimes but it's too creepy to be funny. It's an odd indie that has more to do with the 70's. This is a kiddie pageant with the added griminess of 70's New York. Theresa offering her virginity to Sammy is the last straw. There are some contemporary movies which make the girl a straight up ho. Those have the benefit of realism. This is weirdly unrealistic and grimy sad. This is not acclaimed like Taxi Driver or controversial like Pretty Baby. I wouldn't mind the odd couple's chemistry if it doesn't insert the creepiness.
