Super Dragon Ball Heroes exists outside the main Dragon Ball canon. Not concerned about having a story, well-developed characters, or cohesive themes, this web series is entirely focused on putting popular characters in new and exciting situations, and giving them transformations they've never had before. Combined with the presence of the "Xeno" characters, as well as non-canon villains from sources like Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the strength of the characters in this series is almost absurd.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes elevates the power levels of its heroes and villains beyond those found in Dragon Ball Super. The canon versions of Goku, Vegeta, and their fusions have never reached the same heights as their non-canon counterparts, nor have they beaten villains as dangerous as Demigra or Fu. It's safe to say that all the strongest characters in Super Dragon Ball Heroes could be considered threats to the entire multiverse.

The late great Akira Toriyama is still regarded as one of the finest creators in the history manga and comics in general, with the legendary mangaka being known for influencing countless generations of fans and fellow creators. His art is instantly recognizable across the world, which has many noting how similar his characters look, regardless of the series in question.
Akira Toriyama's character designs all share the same basic aesthetic as what's seen in Dragon Ball, even for entirely unrelated video games. This speaks to just how popular his art style is, which is why he was kept as a major part of one role-playing game series in particular. Likewise, when it comes to his most famous work, the similarities in character designs make sense.

Warning: Contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima episodes #1-#2.After a year of anticipation, Dragon Ball Daima has finally been released. The series premiered on Crunchyroll on October 11 as part of the fall 2024 anime season, and while there still isnt much thats known about its story, everything about it has done more and more to show it as being a visual masterpiece that Akira Toriyama undoubtedly put all his heart into making.
The trailers were the best way Dragon Ball Daima built up so much hype, and one thing thats been noted is that most of the trailers have featured no voice acting, instead relying solely on the visuals, animation, and any accompanying news stories to sell themselves. With the series now out, though, Dragon Ball Daima has finally confirmed some of its principal voice cast for both English and Japanese. Not every voice actor has been announced, but the...

In 2009, 20th Century Fox released a live-action Dragon Ball adaptation titled Dragon Ball Evolution -- a production widely considered to be one of the franchise's biggest failures. Consequently, Dragon Ball Super English voice star James Marsters took it upon himself to "apologize" to fans by discreetly taking on the role of a major character in Dragon Ball Super.
In Dragon Ball Evolution, Marsters co-starred alongside Justin Chatwin (Goku) as the Namekian warrior, Lord Piccolo. In a recent episode of Michael Rosenbaum's comedy podcast, "Inside of You," Marsters explained that, for Dragon Ball Super, he decided to take on his new character role under a different professional alias. "I changed my name. I just didn't want any credit on Dragon Ball because I wanted it to [only] be known to be people at conventions, like, real Dragon Ball superfans." Prior to his anime role, people often approached him to ask, "What happened?...

Dragon Ball Daima's first episode was one of the most stunning moments in Dragon Ball history, as within a mere thirty minutes, the show transformed what fans know about the Dragon Ball universe, introducing several new concepts and redefining what fans know about several fan-favorite characters. Nowhere is this better seen than with the humble Namekians. Not only did Daima retcon their origin story and re-introduce the demonic elements first seen in the original Dragon Ball, but the episode also drops some fascinating facts about Piccolo and his brethren. One of these tidbits sparked major fan debate, leading to many Dragon Ball fans asking if Namekians need to shower or brush their teeth.
This debate was sparked by a moment in the middle of the episode. After King Gomah decides to head to the human world and collect its Dragon Balls, he fetches Neva the Namekian, noting that, while the man is a "little senile,...

Dragon Ball Daima episode 2, titled after the character "Glorio" has already made great narrative decisions to seperate it from Dragon Ball Gt. When the series was announced, fans were concerned that a similar plot of Goku turning into a child and hunting for dragon balls would mean that the infamous Dragon Ball Gt would be reapproached just in a modern Dragon Ball setting.
Dragon Ball Gt is notorious among the fandom as a divided entry in the long-running Shnen franchise due to its pacing, action, and strange decisions involving characters. However, Daima seems to be flipping the script and making changes that more accurately reflect Akira Toriyama's vision and make for a better viewing experience. Already two episodes in and Dragon Ball Daima has the potential to be far better than Dragon Ball Gt could ever be.

Dragon Ball Daima, the latest entry in the franchise created by the beloved Akira Toriyama, promises to be an exciting and entertaining adventure for fans to enjoy. Episode 1, which was released Friday, October 11, 2024, brought with it an extensive lore that will develop as the series progresses. Though there were many revelations contained in the first breathtaking episode of Daima, one of the biggest was a massive retcon that changed one classic series element.
Among these revelations, the series explained that the Namekian race was not originally from Universe 7, rather from the Demon realm. This shocking twist explains many oddities about this cherished species. Though this revelation may have surprised fans more familiar with the Z era of Dragon Ball, fans of Super may not have been nearly as surprised. Dragon Ball Z is the popular anime that tells the story of Goku and his friends battling iconic and powerful foes; however, not every episode moves the overarching plot forward, and here's a filler episode guide that'll help sift through what can be skipped. Filler episodes often contain short non-canon stories, providing additional character development and world-building when done well. Dbz has anime filler episodes that fail to do that, but some are so enjoyable that many fans may have yet to realize they were filler in the first place.
Dbz was initially released as a weekly anime series that aired along with the manga's publication. However, once an anime gets too close to catching up with the manga's storyline, filler episodes are one method used to give the manga extra time to pull ahead. This led to many iconic moments of the anime like Goku training on his way...

Shenron is one of the most iconic characters to return in Dragon Ball Daima, the recurring wish-granting dragon native to Earth, yet he's been historically a fickle dragon quickly falling below Porunga in the pecking order. Still, with a wish-granting dragon capable of returning multiple characters to life, limitations were written into his powers even as they expanded to prevent him from being the biggest deus ex machina in the series. However, in Dragon Ball Daima, Shenron refused to give Gomah more than one wish due to the Demon King not being deemed a "regular user."
This implies that Shenron picks favorites in Dragon Ball Daima's version of events in the timeline, an entertaining way to complicate Gomah's simple plans for ascension and leveling the playing field. Shenron might not realize it, but he may have mitigated a bigger threat: Gomah's desire to acquire the Evil Third Eye to...

A typical shonen anime will always start with the tragic backstory of how the main protagonist’s family is dead or estranged from them. You see it in Naruto and the Dragon Ball series, maybe to add more character depth without having to explain a lot. So, despite being a shonen, why does Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach get to have a happy family?
It seems that Tite Kubo has forgotten that happy families aren’t allowed in this genre. While Ichigo’s mother, Masaki, is deceased, the rest of his family is completely fine throughout the story.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has announced the first and second rounds of characters coming in its season pass. Although it already includes 181 characters from across the Dragon Ball continuity, there are also a few characters still missing from Sparking! Zero. Most of these appeared in previous Budokai Tenkaichi releases, or played prominent roles in the anime, but have yet to be transferred over into the most recent game.
Many of these will be added in periodic Dlc releases over the coming months. Broly's Ring is an Ability Item in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero that's great for those who know how to use it well. It disables transformations and fusions for the player and their opponent when equipped. This can be debilitating for anyone not used to a battle that relies primarily on their own skill and not the boosts from fusions and transformations. It also means that the fighters' base forms will decide who is stronger, which can be a big difference between some characters.
The ring forces players to rely on their base forms and strategic skills to win because it essentially removes the power boost that comes with these transformations. However, it's very hard to get and requires a lot of time to get to the point where it is available to the player. The process is very similar to getting Dragon Orbs, one of the most difficult items to grab in the game.

Among the Saiyans, Gohan has long been celebrated as a prodigy in Dragon Ball. Unlike his father, Goku, Gohans strength was not solely driven by a love for battle but by the intense circumstances that he faced. His potential was unlocked early with his first transformation into a Super Saiyan arriving at nine years old. This achievement solidified his place as one of the most promising fighters among his friends and family.

It has also brought back several classic Dragon Ball elements that fell by the wayside in the later days of Dragon Ball Z. Glorio is a demon from Demon Realm, currently serving the King of the Third Demon World. Having traveled to Earth, he's successfully forged an alliance with Goku and Shin to eliminate Gomah.

The lore behind Dragon Ball's Kais has come a long way since King Kai was first introduced in the Saiyan Saga. Dragon Ball Z's Buu Saga introduced numerous new and higher ranking gods, with the most important among them to the series being Shin. In the last four decades, Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball has amassed a huge fan following that has evolved to the status of a timeless classic, where our beloved protagonist, Son-Goku, and his friends would save the day from threats surrounding the Earth. The balance of power in the world of Dragon Ball has already shifted between the first and second episodes of Dragon Ball Daima. Some previously prominent characters didn't appear in Episode 2 at all, while certain minor players from Episode 1 proved to hold far greater importance to the series than fans expected. Daima certainly isn't afraid to keep viewers on their toes.
Dragon Ball Daima Episode 2, "Glorio," shakes up every fan expectation for the series. Throughout the history of the Naruto franchise, several characters from the series have become iconic beyond the main hero. Such was definitely the case for Shikamaru, who's now the subject of an epic new video celebrating the cynical ninja.
A new video showcases a look at the history of the franchise, with Naruto and his ally/rival Sasuke appearing throughout. Joining them, however, is none other than Shikamaru Nara. Known for being something of a sarcastic slacker, the video puts him and his unique powers as much in the spotlight as the other heroes. Accompanied by a rocking track familiar to fans, it's all a part of the brand's 25th anniversary.

Akira Toriyama’s greatness will be on show once again as Dragon Ball Daima, the last work of the creator, is going to expand the universe that has been 40 years in the making. Unlike Dragon Ball Super, which goes heavy on the multiversal battles and broken power levels, Daima has returned to the grassroots level of the show.

The series has evoked a sense of nostalgia among the Og fans, who have noticed subtle ideas that close the gap with Dragon Ball Gt, which is considered to be non-canon by the fandom. Even years after the Dragon Ball series’ initial parts have ended, there are many moments that fans fondly reminisce about to this day. The Saiyan transformations and Spirit Bomb are some of them. This is the best testament to Akira Toriyama’s effect on fans. No one is immune to the charm if they stumbled upon Dragon Ball at the right time in their lives.

And, the interesting part is that it’s not just even about fans, but famous figures of the anime-manga industry would jump with joy at the mere mention of Toriyama’s magnum opus. With that, Tite Kubo sharing his favorite Dragon Ball moment that involves a character with fairly little screen time reminds us of one of the best character introductions in the series.

Mai Nakahara as Bulma (Mini)
I never dreamed I’d be involved with a show that I watched back as a child like this, so I was overjoyed when I heard I was chosen for the role. The reality didn’t really sink in all the way up to recording sessions, but during the sessions, feeling the staff’s emotions for the show helped my pull myself together. It’s an honor to be involved!

To say Dragon Ball is iconic would be an understatement. The popular anime franchise continues to soar in its popularity. Especially when it comes to the latest release Daima. The series looks more than promising especially due to its art and animation. This also extends to the producer’s move to set the series apart from other installments.

In an interview, the producer Akiyo Iyoku outlined the difference between the new series and Gt. He also glossed on the core idea of the sequel. What’s interesting is that Iyoku made sure to not repeat the same mistakes. Especially when it comes to the previous series. It also stands in contrast with Gt which is labeled as one of the hated series in the franchise.

Ginyu Force is by far the funniest group of characters to have appeared in the Dragon Ball universe. This guide will explore how to defeat Ginyu Force in the latest Spike Chunsoft game. They may act like clowns but they sure know how to pack a punch.
This is going to be a tough battle as Goku will be up against all the members of Ginyu Force, who’ll appear one by one as they are defeated. Remember that you won’t get their health back after defeating an opponent.
How to Defeat Ginyu Force Members Quickly? Spirit Bomb inflicts major damage to the opponent when hit.
Guldo is the smallest member of the team and will appear first in this battle. Goku is obviously far more powerful than him so even the common blows will inflict more than usual damage to the Ginyu Force member.

The following contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima Episode 2, "Glorio," now streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
Dragon Ball Daima was produced in celebration of the franchises 40th anniversary and was initially faced with skepticism. Many fans worried the anime would experience many of the same issues that held back the controversial Dragon Ball Gt. Daima is still very early on in its run, but its first episode, Conspiracy, helped assuage these fears by delivering an exceptional new entry in the series that appeals to both long-time fans and complete newcomers. Dragon Ball DAIMAs exact episode count hasnt been revealed, but the projected season of approximately 20 episodes is significantly shorter than Dragon Balls norm.
One might think that a shorter series would translate to break-neck pacing that rushes through plot points with Super Saiyan speed. This was certainly not the case in Dragon Ball DAIMAs premiere, which remains consistent in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 2, Glorio.

Akira Toriyama, the legendary creator of Dragon Ball and artist of iconic series like Dragon Quest, passed away at the beginning of March 2024. Episode 2 of Dragon Ball Daima paid tribute to its famous creator, hidden in plain sight.
Toei Animation uploaded the first animated opening for Dragon Ball Daima on its Japanese YouTube channel. C&k and Zedd performed the song "Jaka Jaan," which teases Goku and his friends' adventure into the Demon Realm, as promised by the Episode 3 preview. As beautiful as the anime opening is, fans are paying more attention to its lyrics. In particular, a verse references the late Toriyama, who developed Dragon Ball Daima before passing away in early March.

Every Dragon Ball series has a unique energy and identity, but Dragon Ball Super pushes the characters and storytelling to unprecedented places. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and the rest of the series heroes ascend to incredible heights in Dragon Ball Z. As if to up the ante, Dragon Ball Super introduces a whole multiverse of mayhem and new divine figures who help the heroes grow. Dragon Ball Super embraces godly ki and intimidating transformations that make it possible for Goku and Vegeta to take on celestial deities.
Theres no lack of action in Dragon Ball Super and the series features the franchises biggest fights to date, including a free-for-all battle royale between dozens of deadly warriors. Just like Dragon Ball Z before it, Dragon Ball Super isn't afraid to let the heroes suffer huge losses. If anything, Super is a little too trigger-happy with its losses.

During the 2000s, Dragon Ball Z was seen as the pinnacle of strong characters where almost every warrior (except Mr. Satan) can destroy a planet or two. This planet-tier scaling began in the Piccolo Jr. arc, where Goku’s fight with Piccolo literally destroyed the whole arena. Even before that, Master Roshi managed to erase the Earth’s moon, so blowing the Earth to bits won’t be a problem for our heroes in Dragon Ball Z.

One of Dragon Ball's most famous and influential concepts is battle transformations. Since Goku's Great Ape form debuted in Dragon Ball's first saga, the series has introduced hundreds of transformations, with most characters learning at least one transformation during their story arc. This love of transformations isn't restricted to the main series either. Dragon Ball's various non-canon spin-offs like Dragon Ball Gt, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, and the various Dragon Ball movies have often introduced new transformations to the franchise.
While some of these transformations only appeared once, others would become fan favorites and reappear in other spin-offs down the line, meaning many of these transformations are as famous as their canon counterparts. But which non-canon transformation is the most powerful, and which one would lose a fight against Hercule?

Like its exciting debut, Dragon Ball Daima Episode 2 gave longtime fans of the series a lot to chew on with its new revelations. Episode 1 recontextualized the demonic origins of Piccolo and his Namekian race, along with retconning the defusion of Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito -- even though the Dragon Ball Super anime TV series offered its own explanation. The latest episode by the late Akira Toriyama continued on this path by explaining that people unknown to Shenron will only receive one wish from the Dragon Balls. At the same time, longtime users like Goku and his friends will receive three.
Dragon Ball Daima also cleared up some confusion with its child-like explanation of demons being those with pointy ears. As Shin explained, while not everyone with pointy ears will be of demonic origin, it is a common trait of those from the Demon Realm. However, among the surprise revelations and retconning,...

Dragon Balls is experiencing an epic high following Dragon Ball DAIMAs successful premiere. Audiences are ready for a brand-new adventure that beautifully introduces fresh ideas, all while simultaneously remixing everything that's worked in the past. Dragon Ball DAIMAs first episode, Conspiracy, was a satisfying start that gave fans a nostalgic blast from the past before bravely looking ahead to the future.

Episode #2 of Dragon Ball Daima saw the Z Fighters getting used to their new bodies, as being shrunk down to the size of children has made it difficult for them to use their powers as they normally would. This is especially relevant when it comes to flying, as their balance is radically different due to their new size. It seems that this won't be an easy transition for the heroes, but at least those like Bulma, whose talents are more intellectual, have been relatively unaffected by this sudden change in size.

When it comes to popularity, there is barely any other Shonen series that comes near Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus. The anime has been airing for 25 years and is not showing any signs of coming to an end. Hence, it is one of the many reasons that the title is popular not just in Japan, but all around the world, and arguably comes second in popularity after Dragon Ball.

Dragon Ball Daima Episode 2, "Glorio", continues a unique trend set by the first episode revealing that pre-established characters were demons all along. The whole anime revolves around the premise that Dabura and Babidi were from the Demon Realm all along, not Universe 7. With this news likewise came the revelation that all Namekians were originally from the Demon Realm, which means King Piccolo wasn't just blowing hot air about his royal pedigree the Daimao was the real deal.
Two more characters haved joined the demon club as of Episode 2, but they're not only far more important than Dabura and Bibidi ever were, they're firmly associated with Dragon Ball's holy and angelic elements. After decades of assisting the God of Earth and governing the known universe, it turns out that both Mr. Popo and the Supreme Kai are demons through & through.

Dragon Ball fans are obsessed with trying to prove Goku as the strongest protagonist to ever exist and for obvious reasons. I mean, who else can destroy entire planets in a single blast? Unless the rival in question is One Punch Man’s Saitama?

Goku was already stronger than average humans when he first debuted in Akira Toriyama‘s Dragon Ball (1984). But as time went by, he became ridiculously overpowered. After Super Saiyan 1, 2, 3, and 4, his latest achievement is the Perfected Ultra Instinct. With it, he...

In Episode 3 of Dragon Ball Daima, Goku and his friends will continue their quest to set things right. After Episode 1 gave fans young and old a refresher on Dragon Ball Z history, Episode 2 got the ball rolling with the exciting introduction of Glorio and the new voice cast (sans Goku).
With all the setups and introductions (nearly) out of the way, Dragon Ball Daima is ready to roll out its brand-new story by the late Akira Toriyama. This means fans can finally enjoy the new anime opening theme, "Jaka Jaan," performed by C&k and Zedd. The first ending theme song, "Nakama," is written and performed by Japanese-American singer AI. Of course, there's more to Dragon Ball Daima than catchy tunes. Episode 2 kickstarted Goku's new adventure by introducing series newcomer Glorio and how he'll play a role in stopping this sinister "conspiracy" by Gomah, the new ruler of the Demon Realm.

Dragon Ball Daima, the brand-new anime series by the late Akira Toriyama, is shaking up the franchise with a completely new cast. A new voice actor will play everyone except the young Saiyan hero Goku.
The official Dragon Ball website recently announced the shock recasting of the main cast for Dragon Ball Daima. With the exception of Goku, still played by Masako Nozawa, the main characters are all being played by different voice actors to better suit their new first-grader forms. In the cliffhanger from Episode 1, the newly-crowned king of the Demon Realm, Gomah, traveled to Earth to use the Dragon Balls to ensure the Z-warriors would never challenge his rule. Unable to make a wish that would eliminate Goku and his friends, Gomah decided to make them powerless by wishing everyone involved with the Majin Buu incident to be transformed into children (and for those already children to be...
