Jennifer Love Hewitt discussed the wildly inappropriate comments some men would say to her after she appeared as a teenager in the classic horror film, I Know What You Did Last Summer. A loose adaptation of the late author Lois Duncan’s 1973 young adult novel of the same name, Hewitt portrayed Julie James in the 1997 film and its follow-up, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). The actress spoke about dealing with those troubling sexual comments while appearing on Mayim Bialik's Breakdown podcast. Hewitt said:
"In my 30s, I sort of went back and looked at that time again, and I was like, 'Oh my god!' There were grown men talking to me at 16 about my breasts openly on a talk show — and people were laughing about it [...] Like, I really didn’t take that part of it in, but in hindsight, it was very strange to...

Stacy on Kids Incorporated was the coolest. The bubbly 10-year-old singer with the killer '80s wardrobe, perfectly spritzed bangs and booming voice that belied her age was a Disney Channel princess long before Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera got their big breaks on the Mickey Mouse Club. And in 1989, after she left the show... Hmm. We all went back to our similarly young lives. Some fans accompanied the singer whose full name was Stacy Ann Ferguson on her journey with Wild Orchid, a tame '90s girl group that also featured Kids Incorporated's Renee Sandstrom and was at one point managed by the mother of Ki alum and "Toy...

Fergie spilled all of the tea about her past romances when she stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night, including the fling she had with none other than Justin Timberlake. In a game of Plead the Fifth with host Andy Cohen, the singer was asked about the best and worst parts of dating Jt back in the '90s. Her response was genuine (and, to be honest, slightly panicky): "It wasn't all that serious. Am I allowed to pass on this? Pass. Plead the fifth." The mom of son Axl, who recently split from husband Josh Duhamel, had a short-lived relationship with Justin around 1996 when he was 16 and she was 23. Fergie spoke to Cosmopolitan in 2006 about it, saying, "One of my good friends was dating J.C. Chasez, and so we'd all hang out with *Nsync. Justin and I would go out together and have fun and make out.

Everyone knows that a Sadie Hawkins dance is the yearly high school tradition in which the girls ask guys out – even if they have no idea who Sadie Hawkins is. In fact, most people probably know this even if their particular high school didn't offer any such opportunity to reverse gender norms.
Why, then, is it so celebrated? Well, for one it's long been a staple of pop culture and of teen-centered TV shows in particular. In fact, a lot of people may have only ever experienced a Sadie Hawkins dance through TV. And TV shows are still doing it today,...

This weekend's Saturday Night Live, with host Anna Kendrick, included two full-on Disney sketches, but somehow this Nickelodeon sketch got cut after the dress rehearsal. Behold "Zap!" a 1994 series where "bright colors meet the phrase 'oh, yeah!'" If we're going to be sticklers, "Zap!" looks more like Kids Incorporated or The New Mickey Mouse Club than any Nick shows from the mid-'90s, except for maybe All That — which makes Kenan Thompson's performance here that much more relevant. Anyway, grab your sombreros.

The Mickey Mouse Club of the late eighties and early nineties gave us Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Christina Aguilera, and Keri Russell, among others. The show is looked back on … if not fondly then at least occasionally. But that show was not the only game in town! The Disney Channel started out with Kids Incorporated, an early role for Fergie, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Mario Lopez, among other children forced to wear the garish clothing that was customary at the time. Kids Incorporated, with its singing and dancing and constant crises, brought us this truly horrendous special New Year's episode, "Rock in the New Year." It is even more grating than you could possibly remember. Sorry, 1986.

It’s hard to catch a big break, and some stars get theirs performing for little ones. Everyone knows now that Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera all got their start on The Mickey Mouse Club, but did you know there are more children’s shows that spawned Disney stars than just ye olde Mmc? Long before they were Disney starlets, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were adorable tykes on Barney & Friends? Or that Ben Affleck‘s first claim to fame wasn’t being an actor or a director; he was a passenger on The Voyage of the Mimi.
Sesame Street might be everyone’s first foray into television viewing, but for esteemed adult actors like Alan Arkin and Raul Julia, it was their first television paycheck! Jennifer Love Hewitt and Fergie once danced together on Kids Incorporated and Leonardo DiCaprio was reportedly fired from his first job on Romper Room.

Jennifer Love Hewitt first graced our TV screens at the age of 10 as a Disney star on "Kids Incorporated" before playing Sarah Reeves Merrin on "Party of Five" in the mid-'90s. Is Jennifer Love Hewitt an X Factor hopeful? Not as a contender, silly, but as a judge? We have the details on this hot topic for discussion.
“Simon is very interested,” a source told Us Weekly. And who wouldn’t be interested on having Hewitt just being herself on a regular basis? I think she’s a darling. She definitely knows the media industry.
The 34-year-old former Ghost Whisperer and current star of the Client List is also a former pop star, dontcha know. Her song “BareNaked” hit the charts back in 2002. Of course, Simon would never put all his eggs into one basket. He is also said to be considering Reba McEntire and Kelly Rowland, who last judged 2011′s U.K. X Factor. Reba is a very big name and I dare say even better loved by the masses than Hewitt. But what is the country singer’s schedule like?...

Which Modern Family actress has a girl crush on her co-star? What does Oprah miss about her syndicated daily talk show? And how are critics across the globe viewing the latest Star Trek flick?
Jennifer Love Hewitt has apparently made the shortlist for new X Factor judges. Simon Cowell reportedly reached out to the actress, hoping she’ll accept a spot on the panel. Nothing’s been confirmed, but we’d love to see her join fellow Kids Incorporated alum Mario Lopez as a regular on the talent show. [Us Magazine] Well, she doesn’t exactly call it a girl crush, but Julie Bowen totally loves Sofia Vergara. “I sort of worship Sofia,” the Modern Family actress tells E!. And henceforth, Sofia Vergara girl crushes everywhere are now socially acceptable. [E!] In an interview airing on Steve Harvey’s show this week, Oprah revealed that she misses interacting with live audiences on a daily basis.

There is a report out of Us Weekly that Simon Cowell is eying actress Jennifer Love Hewitt as a replacement for Britney Spears on his "X Factor" panel, alongside Cowell himself and singer Demi Lovato.
"Simon is very interested," says the source, who also names Reba McEntire and Kelly Rowland as being in the running.
A rep for "The X Factor" says this is all "pure speculation," but a friend of Rowland's says that Kelly is "nearly a done deal."
So, how do we feel about these possibilities? Rowland at least has some experience. She previously judged the U.K. version of the singing competition show. But does she have the personality?
Hewitt and McEntire have not been judges or mentors on anything like "X Factor," but both have musical backgrounds. McEntire's is obvious -- she's a two-time Grammy winner with 10 other noms under her belt for the music award.

Hollywood can be a big, weird, lonely place. Sometimes, for better or worse, that's going to make you want to get with Cher. And as Woody Allen once said, in defending his controversial relationship with his adopted daughter, the heart wants what the heart wants.
It's not for us to judge.
Just kidding! Of course it is. Here are 10 of the most bizarre Hollywood couples ever, past and present.
Tom Cruise and Cher
Tom Cruise and Cher got together in the mid-1980s, and while we weren't there at the time or anything, it certainly feels like it was more of a "Hey, you're internationally famous? Crazy, I'm internationally famous too! Let's bone!" type of relationship than one based on love. Depressingly for all of us, somewhere in an alternate universe, their firstborn is debuting his/her/its bestselling tell-all book, "Cher-ry Maguire: My Life with Tom and Cher" right now on Dr. Phil.

Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth #1
Written by Ken Kristensen
Art and Cover by M.K. Perker and Colorist Cemal Soyleyen
Published by Image Comics
When a comic is prefaced with a special thanks to Todd Solondz (director of Welcome to the Dollhouse and Happiness), it’s safe to assume you’re in for a work of thorny humor. Angsty eccentricity is the sap of the suburban comedy, but writer Ken Kristensen and artist M.K. Perker’s Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth trades in angst for innocence in what is surely the boldest, most controversial book released so far this year.
Issue one of this new mini-series sets up a colorful ensemble of complicated characters who each represent a different mindset of suburban America. Todd is the upbeat optimist, a kid so ugly he wears a bag over his head, but you know he’s always smiling regardless.

When Jennifer Love Hewitt signed on to play a mother-turned-erotic-masseuse in Lifetime's 2010 original movie "The Client List," she got far more than she bargained for: impressive ratings, a Golden Globe nomination and now, a TV show of the same name (premiering Sun., April 8 at 10 p.m. Et on Lifetime).
Hewitt, who also serves executive producer on the "The Client List," has been on the small screen for more than two decades --from "Kids Incorporated" to "Party of Five" to "Time of Your Life" to "Ghost Whisperer." But her role as an erotic masseuse is easily her most risque to date. In the movie, Hewitt played Sam, an unemployed massage therapist and mother of three who becomes an erotic masseuse when her husband finds himself out of work and they face foreclosure, but in the TV series, Sam is now Riley and her life is a bit different, though her profession is the same.

But her role as an erotic masseuse is easily her most risque to date. In the movie, Hewitt played Sam, an unemployed massage therapist and mother of three who becomes an erotic masseuse when her husband finds himself out of work and they face foreclosure, but in the TV series, Sam is now Riley and her life is a bit different, though her profession is the same.

After Glee‘s tremendous success, many may have predicted a wave of musical TV series entering production as various networks tried to capitalize on Fox’s good fortune. None came. This week, Smash premiered on NBC to strong ratings, bringing the tally of network musicals up to two. Given the tremendous potential for gain, both in terms of ratings and music sales, isn’t it unusual for the networks to be so hesitant? After some investigation, it appears not- as much as Americans love a good musical, they rarely commit to those on TV. Below is a brief chronology of musical TV series from the 1960s on.
>1960: CBS and the DuMont network each take a crack at a musical series with original songs in the pop/Broadway style, but neither series, Inside U.S.A. with Chevrolet (1949-50) or Once Upon a Tune (1951), takes off.

Actor Eric Balfour has been hired to turn his attentions to behind the camera and turn Jesus Hates Zombies, the graphic novel from Stephen Lindsay, into a feature-length movie from a script written by Michael Mongillo and Jason Alan Smith.
The graphic novel tells of a zombie plague taking over the world, as we've seen play out in movies, comics, games, and TV shows so many times now, but this time the creator himself is watching and doesn't like what he sees, so he once again sends Jesus back to Earth -- this time to throw down with the zombie horde.
As far as directing goes, Balfour has only taken part in a film called Do Not Disturb with four other directors. But you surely recognize him from his many acting roles over the years, which began with Kids Incorporated (remember that one?) and includes Six Feet Under, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,...

My daughter and I were watching YouTube. She's been on a singing and dancing kick lately and after an embarrassing incident looking for ballet videos - "Bikini Ballet" delivers exactly what it promises - I thought she might like some clips from "Kids Inc."
I remembered it was about a group of kids who run their own soda shop/dance club after school. (As Wikipedia says, "the show did not aim for strict realism.") I figured it had to be fairly toddler-friendly since it was from the early 80s, before tween girls regularly used stripper poles in their acts. But as my little girl danced to adolescent covers of "Neverending Story" and "Goonies," I got choked up. Not because she's so freaking adorable (she is) but because I remembered with perfect clarity what it was like to be 13 years old watching the premiere of this show that I never even liked that much.

Give Anil Dash a microphone, five minutes, and a series of automatically advancing slides and he’ll convince you Paris Hilton isn’t entirely indefensible. His argument is based on the fact she’s the only member of her generation of the Hilton clan to inherit a chunk of Conrad’s fortune and use it to increase her overall net worth. It’s true and it’s a good reason why there’s no need to completely loathe an evil pop culture force, but I would’ve used the Funny or Die defense. In August 2008, Paris teamed up with the online comedy destination to announce her presidential run. The video debuted after John McCain used Paris’ visage in a smear campaign that likened pre-President Obama to vapid, overexposed celebrities. It’s a good short. Very good. And what makes it that way aren't the cheap shots about McCain’s age,...

“You don’t like anything.”
I get told I’m negative... a lot... pretty much perpetually. It’s been like this damn near my whole life. I don’t think people understand how that affects me. I’m not some armchair despot of media literacy, spewing bile for no reason other than to do so. I’ve taken the time, and money has been spent to construct an education in stringing words together, a real degree-holding education from an accredited university with big brick buildings and dorms and a football team - the whole nine yards. What I have gone through to get this knowledge is ridiculous, convoluted and could definitely be considered “the hard way,” but it has left me with a much finer understanding of what we are fed and told to be entertained by.

Actress Lindsay Lohan won't be starring as porn star Linda Lovelace in "Inferno" after all.
The troubled starlet was to make her comeback playing the famous porn star in "Inferno," but director Matthew Wilder told E! Online he could no longer wait for Lohan as she continues her treatment at the Betty Ford clinic.
"We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," Wilder said. "We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard.

Rihanna was busy filming the video for “What’s My Name” in New York this weekend, and her outfit can only be described as some sort of Alice in Wonderland meets Kids Incorporated nightmare. Maybe Katy Perry and Ke$ha got wasted and then had a style-off using Rihanna as their mannequin, but even that would be no excuse. It’s the worstest of the worstestest. We love RiRi, but this look is just all sorts of wrong. Check out our favorite Rihanna outfits to revel in her better fashion picks. Expectations are now so low on this season of "American Idol" that when news broke that Miley Cyrus was going to "mentor" the Top 11 as they sang "Teen Idol Hits No Wait Billboard #1 Hits No Wait Both Maybe," I shrugged and said, "Eh, they've had worse." (I'm still laughing at producers for letting Jennifer Lopez give singing tips to Melinda Doolittle.) Looking back on my reaction, I now see I was dead wrong.
Miley Cyrus is a genius mentor for the season nine contestants. The best lesson these kids could learn is how to become uber-famous performers with limited vocal abilities. Who knows that better than Miley Cyrus?
Tuesday night's (March 23) show opened with the Top 11 nervously standing on stage while Ryan Seacrest's giant face appeared behind them on a massive monitor borrowed from 1984. (That number works as both a reference to George Orwell's classic and perfectly encapsulates...

As you all know, we lost Brittany Murphy yesterday at the all-too-young age of 32.
She was never my favorite actress, nor my least favorite. There were roles that I loved, and roles that I loathed. But her presence in Hollywood was always a joy, mainly because I matured with Murphy, born the same year as myself. She didn't start in the biz until 1991 with her first role in Murphy Brown, so I didn't grow up with her, but she was one of the few who charmed me in my high school youth and never faded away.
Perhaps I spotted her appearances on Kids Incorporated or Parker Lewis Can't Lose. Or, while I never followed Drexell's Class, maybe I saw a peek of her as Brenda Drexell. But in my memories, she has always been Molly Morgan of 1993's Almost Home -- the very short-lived Torkelsons spin-off. Murphy was spunky and charming,...

Actress Brittany Murphy passed away Sunday at the age of 32. Perhaps best known for her work in '8 Mile,' 'Girl, Interrupted,' and 'Clueless,' Murphy was a longtime industry veteran with dozens of credits. She first appeared on TV shows like "Kids Incorporated," "Drexell's Class," and "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," later starring on the big screen, appearing alongside actors including Angelina Jolie, Michael Douglas and Ashton Kutcher. Her film credits in addition to those mentioned above include 'Sin City,' 'Little Black Book,' 'Just Married," "Don't Say a Word,' 'Riding in Cars with Boys,' 'Uptown Girls,' and 'Sidewalks of New York.' The actress was also the longtime voice of Hank Hill's niece Luanne Platter on Fox's "King of the Hill," and also voiced a character in the animated film 'Happy Feet.' Murphy said in a 2004 interview...
