    Very French but Very Dull

A woman retreats from her unsatisfying day-to-day reality into fantasy.

I'm not really sure what to say about this film: I don't understand why it was made or what it was trying to say. Carole Laure is very pretty but neither her nor any other character in the film is interesting or likeable, and the whole thing fails to grip at every point of the proceedings.

On the plus side, it is very handsomely photographed, with a pleasingly-grainy 1970s look, and the whole thing feels very French indeed (though apparently made in Quebec).

That's about all I have, I'm afraid: I just felt obligated to leave a first-hand review when there were no others here.

    • Trivia
In 1975, when this movie was released, Canadian magazines wrote Carole Laure shot there the most explicit sex scene in erotic cinema. The sex scene between Carole Laure and Raymond Cloutier is in fact very graphic. At the time, Laure said, "This scene was not gratuitous. We should not remove sexuality from the cinema where it seems to me well installed to remain there. Sexuality is part of the normal life of any being but in the films, it should not be gratuitous. We need to go deep, not lightly. If I shot a very explicit love scene in this movie, it is because such a scene appears in the middle of a dramatic action that sheds light on the character."
