Apart from that it's typical '70s parochial rubbish, with the token US actors to supposedly lend it legitimacy. A depressing reminder of the bleak, class-ridden macho self-consciousness prevalent in Australia during that time.

I have heard rumors that the movie may be re-released on DVD. Could this be true?

I have also heard that an application has been made to have the names of the actual riders in the movie included in the credits as most of them were not mentioned.

My (late) husband was one of these riders and if it is true I would like his name to be included. His name was Russell Scrivener.

If somebody knows about this could they send me an email confirming it.

I have seen this movie on late night TV but not for a long time. Do the commercial TV channels have any intention to reshow it at some stage in the future?
