    Good humored fun!

This story concerns a bus load of attractive young entertainers who suffer a vehicular breakdown in the middle of nowhere. Well, it's not exactly nowhere - there is a very old castle nearby. How convenient! And no worries about any superstitions we have heard about this area...

The entertainers are welcomed into the castle. Their hosts generously provide dinner and then everyone proceeds to the bedrooms. But does anyone know what danger lies in wait for them??

Although the movie is quite campy there is no nudity. There is also no gore. If you are looking for a scary movie, this is not it. However, if you appreciate silly humor, this is perfect; it is in fact very silly. And entertaining.

Hilarious and surrealist terror comedy with silly incidents , entertainment and diversion

This is a slightly funny movie with entertainment , amusement , loads of fun and bewildering happenings . Las Alegres Vampiras de Vögel (1975) has as starring an ageing hippie Rasputin style , a vampire count , Erik (Marqués de Toro) , who inhabits at a ruined castle , where arrives a group of passengers of a bus carrying Spanish entertainers through Transylvania breaks down near the vampire-haunted town of Vögel . As the bloodsucker count stands under the ruins of the old castle where the vampire lord tortures his prisoners and drank their blood . Nowadays , some stranded young girls take shelter in the remote European castle where the Count is delighted to receive them but an astonishing nightmare is awaiting them. Meantime , back at the bus, driver Pietro attempts to explain his curse - which manifests whenever the full moon comes from behind clouds but clears up when it disappears again. The count inviting them to stay at his new castle and he falls for Ethel (Agata Lys) . But to get the blood taste , the count will have to suffer various distresses to obtain her . Along the ways , Count, his son Otto (José Maria Tasso) and concubine Laura (Maria José Cantudo) prey on the troupe, who mostly get turned into vampires .

This is an absurd parody from American or British films as well as the Spanish horror movies of the 1970s and this pokes fun enough . The set-up riffs on Leon Klimovsky's ¨La orgia nocturno de los vampiros¨ (1973) , being lousily written by Antonio Baylos and director Julio Pérez Tabernero himself . Rightly sympathetic but below average horror comedy which neatly combines humor , enjoyment , mirth , brief erotism and terrifying but fun events .The picture moves in fits and starts ,most of which would be desirable, with some moments frankly hilarious and others embarrassing and ridiculous . Humor is sometimes cheesy and gross-out with some naughty and picaresque situations including sex jokes and spicy scenes . It follows in the wake of most Spanish vampire comedies : Un Vampiro para Dos (1965), El Jovecinto Dracula (1976), Aquí huele a muerto... (¡pues yo no he sido!) (1990) , Bracula: Condemor II (1997) . This disconcerting horror movie is top-billed by recently deceased Agata Lys then a Spanish sex-symbol and German Cobos who at the time starred various Paella Westerns, Euro-spy and adventure movies . Stars some known actresses of the ¨Destape period¨, such as Agata Lys , María José Cantudo , Paula Pattier and Sara Mora, though here there isn't nudism , as the beautiful girlsrunning here and there dressed in underwear . This is a terror spoof , including a silly Count Dracula and his underlings : Maria José Cantudo and José Maria Tasso , and Gilberto Moreno as a comic variant on Paul Naschy's well-meaning werewolf hero and even a cameo for a blundering Templar out of Amando de Ossorio's Blind Dead series. The comedy is mostly of the running-around-going-eek variety, with dancers and gorgeous girls running around the castle in bra , but there's one funny routine where typically the gloomy goth bride of Dracula gets high on Spanish blood and does a spirited flamenco routine. Cantudo, who'd been in the Naschy vehicle ¨El espanto surge de la tumba¨, gives the wittiest interpretation here . Along with other actors as the unknown Marques de Toro , Jose Maria Tasso , the famous ¨Flequillo¨in the 60s films overdo it, and overacting , at times . And a diverting ending with full of Benny Hill-style sauciness , when it goes with speed-up motion as a vampirised mob pursues a surviving couple in the finale, it's almost properly nightmarish.

The motion picture was badly but amusingly directed by Julio Tabernero . He was a secondary actor who played a lot of 60s and 7os sub-genres , such as : Spaghetti Western , Giallo , Euro-spy , adventure , erotic , such as : Dos mil dólares por Coyote , Cinco pistolas de Texas , Por un puñado de dólares, Siete pistolas para los Mac Gregor , Joaquín Murrieta , Las pistolas no discuten, El hombre de la diligencia , Fuerte perdido, El halcón de Castilla, Rififí en Amsterdam , Rueda de sospechosos , Los mil ojos del asesino , among others. And he directed a few films , such as : Midnight Party, Con las bragas en la mano , Terror caníbal , Las alegres vampiras de Vögel and his best movie : Sexy Cat . Rating : 4/10 .
