      No sense but so dangerous

Kurata Yasuaki and Chan Sing were two of the best real deal martial artists stunt men actor combinations during the golden age of martial arts movies. Yet, like the rest of us bums, sometimes they just needed a paycheck. This movie is the result of that situation. Story-wise from the first frame nothing in this movie makes any sense. Chan Sing is framed for drug smuggling. There is no reason. A minute later he has spent three years in jail for the crime. The guys who framed him go through elaborate trouble to make it look like his girlfriend has been cheating on him plus poison a guy with such a precise dose that he dies exactly when Chan Sing decides to punch him. Nonsense like that continues for the wonderfully short 75 minute running time. I particularly like the part where Chan and his girl were talking and he said, "None of this makes sense!" Wow, he got that right. The fights were exactly what you would expect from these guys, plus they were filmed in ridiculously dangerous locations. There is a long fight on an exterior stairwell with almost no railings, then interior of a construction, then in a lumberyard, then on a pier. The actors were one misstep away from the intensive care unit in every fight. That is the only saving point of this movie and the only reason I recommend it for fans of old school martial arts movies.
