It’s been Molly and Tj’s toughest year yet on General Hospital, and the couple found themselves adding another loss to the list on the December 4, 2024 episode.
Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
After Molly and Tj (Tajh Bellow) finally hashed things out, Molly’s decision to not have any more children pushed Tj to spend the night somewhere else. The couple has already put enormous distance between them since losing their baby, and their differing feelings toward becoming parents seems to be the final straw for both of them.
Despite being together for nearly 13 years ago, their domestic partnership took a hit the minute Molly got her endometriosis diagnosis. After that, the couple suffered a miscarriage via their first surrogate, lost their daughter after their next surrogate, Kristina (Kate Mansi), fell out the hotel window, then mourned the loss of Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco). And after pouring their hearts out to each other,...

As 2023 began, Covid was waning, Top Gun: Maverick was a billion-dollar Oscar Best Picture nominee, and Shari Redstone’s place in the media firmament felt secure after a years-long quest to reunite CBS and Viacom.
At year’s end, the narrative has dramatically changed.
Paramount Global, which Redstone leads as chair and CEO of its controlling shareholder, National Amusements, has hit a prolonged rough patch, and speculation is rampant about its future as a stand-alone company. Film and TV production has been hampered by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the company’s streaming operation is bleeding cash, and an advertising slowdown is squeezing cable networks already jeopardized by cord-cutting. What’s more, old questions are resurfacing about whether the company has enough scale to compete, with those doubts reflected in the company’s lagging stock price. As of Friday’s close, the share price of $16.27 gave Paramount a market value of about $10.2 billion.

Breaking up is hard to do, doubly so on TV. The upcoming season of “You’re the Worst” finds Jimmy (Chris Geere) and Gretchen (Aya Cash) in the aftermath of their conscious decoupling, which in a new trailer takes the form of sad karaoke. Watch below.

Short of the DayEver laughed and cried at the same time?
Breaking up is hard to do. Everybody knows that, there’s a billion songs about it, including one I stole that first sentence from. But some break ups are much, much, much harder than others, and those typically result from one of the two involved parties’ vehement resistance to the dissolution of love. You might not think one such of these situations would be fodder for comedy, but in the case of Break Down, you’d be wrong.
To be sure, Break Down is a dark comedy, but in its darkness there’s a sense of mockery that balances sadness with absurdity, resulting in a short that’s far more laughs than tears. For the audience, at least.
Charlie just wants out of her relationship with David. She has her reasons, she’s even written them down, two full pages, and...

And on Friday, multiple reports claimed Garner is finally ready to file for divorce. But is she really? "Their relationship is very fluid and nothing has really changed," a source says of the actors. "They have been working at their relationship for the past few years." In fact, E! News has exclusively learned that to rebuild their relationship and to improve their communication in general, the actors have taken multiple trips alone together in the last year. Breaking up is hard to do...but looking good afterwards isn't for these leading ladies. If you've broken up or been broken up with, you know just how hard it can be to feel "yourself" again. For the duration of that relationship you were an item and because of your closeness, your personal styles influenced each other (whether you were aware of it or not). For example: Bella Hadid recently split from The Weeknd and, though the supermodel is and has always been a style star in her own right, the pair usually never swayed from their matching denim or black-on-black outfits. But once broken up, Bella's turned her style up a notch—sporting bold oversized sweats and...

It’s official: moral ambiguity has outdone heroism to the point that audiences can no longer stomach watching righteous characters unless they have enough skeletons in their closet to fill Highgate Cemetery. It has become so much of a trope that there is rarely such a thing as a ‘classic protagonist’ any more; HBO turned that on its head with The Sopranos and now everyone is either an anti-hero or an out and out criminal.
To be fair to all these shows, there’s something immensely satisfying about seeing a villainous scheme fall into place. All of the meticulous planning and Machiavellian manoeuvring, it’s hard not to root for a bad guy who is always multiple steps ahead. Unfortunately sometimes these devilish machinations are seemingly thought up on a whim, and threaten to destroy everything that the villain has worked so hard for.

Breaking up is hard to do, especially when we all have to bid farewell to Breaking Bad, as the show is nominated for the last time at the Emmys tonight. However, Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, and the rest of the cast has given fans plenty of love lately, and we can only hope that they continue to keep the show alive.

Breaking up is hard to do -- especially when your ex is going around telling everyone it's not over. During the July 13 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian continued to deal with the fallout of her split from estranged husband Lamar Odom, which led to her revealing that she knew he cheated on her while they were married. "He's now wearing his ring full time," the 30-year-old reality star told sister Kourtney Kardashian of Odom, 34. "F--k your ring. You were wearing it [...]...

Over and over again in its first season, Showtime’s gorgeous and ghastly Penny Dreadful has shocked us. With the murders of Proteus and Van Helsing. With Ethan and Dorian’s absinthe-drenched hook-up. With performances by Eva Green as Vanessa that are so preternatural, she risks being accused of sorcery. Yet the series still managed to save a few surprises for the finale. So read on, why don’t you, and savor once again the thrills, chills and battles of wills that ran through “Grand Guignol” like so much blood through a vein.

John Mayer has tipped his musical hat to Beyoncé, covering her hit "Xo" in a stripped-down, subtle version that harkens back to his early acoustic hits. The now-single Mayer, 36, who split with Katy Perry in February, makes the intimate love song - which urges, "Baby love me, lights out" - his own soothing romantic journey. Even better news for fans: Mayer - who first performed the song live onstage in Adelaide, Australia - loved the song so much, he's recorded it and will be releasing the track on iTunes on Tuesday. The pop singer, who recently wrapped up the Asia...

Breaking up is hard to do, especially if you’re a pro wrestler on your way out of the WWE.
The conventional exit is WWE’s much lampooned ‘best of luck in your future endeavours’ message. The company post this alonside the wrestler’s name on wwe.com after releasing a superstar. However, it isn’t always that simple.
On several occasions we have witnessed employee / employer relations at an absolute low. This has sometimes led to a wrestler leaving WWE without permission, departing in a way that sets the internet wrestling community into a frenzy of discussion about the rights and wrongs. The most recent example of this was Cm Punk.
The disgruntled star left WWE abruptly at the end of January. The reasons aren’t clear but he was reportedly physically and mentally drained. WWE’s decision not to use Punk in the main event of...

Breaking up is hard to do. Sorry, let us rephrase that… Breaking up is a horrifying pain in the ass. And yes, you can get by with a little help from your friends. Or you can drown your sorrows with buckets and buckets of clichés: ice cream, potato chips and/or chocolate. Or better yet: ice cream mixed with chocolate-covered potato chips. Don't knock it. But what you need, what you really need to get through a breakup is an anthem. You need that one song that gives you comfort when all you want to do is cocoon yourself in blankets and pillows in an effort to keep the pain out. And since pretty much every person on this planet will go through a breakup at one time or another, we've...

True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto put the kibosh on any speculation that either of the two troubled sleuths at the heart of his hit HBO show is the serial killer. The author told Buzzfeed, "Going into the final episode, I wanted to end any audience theorizing that Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) or Hart (Woody Harrelson) was the killer, and also provide a concrete face to the abstract evil they’re chasing." Fair warning, spoilers ahead.
Of the myriad theories suggesting Cohle or Hart was guilty, Pizzolatto said he was a little surprised,...

Last Sunday night, I gave True Detective a bad review. In return, it gave me nightmares.
That night, my brain conjured up not one but two separate imaginary season finales in dream form. In one, Rust Cohle and Marty Hart tracked the killer conspiracy to an oily Louisiana politician (played, in the dream, by Deadwood veteran Zach Grenier, proving that my brain and True Detective's casting director have a similar attitude about raiding past great HBO dramas for talent). Content they'd gotten their man at last, they didn't notice the hulking,...

"Oh, yeah, Rustiiiiin Cohhhhhhle," drawls a delighted Matthew McConaughey. It's the day after the annual Oscar luncheon, where the nominees mingle and have a group photo taken, but he's not talking about Dallas Buyers Club. Today, his mind is on Rustin "Rust" Cohle, the brilliant but deeply troubled Louisiana homicide cop he plays opposite Woody Harrelson in True Detective, the stunner of a debut show from a former college professor with little TV experience named Nic Pizzolatto. McConaughey was the first actor to sign on to True Detective (the first...

Like its lead characters, True Detective does a certain number of things really, really well—and other things really, really poorly. And like them, it can have a hard time knowing which is which.
In tonight's episode, "Haunted Houses," this struggle got the spotlight, and the results weren't pretty. Gone was last week's latticework of complex and compelling narratives regarding the pivotal moment in Rust Cohle and Marty Hart's supposed takedown of a serial killer, the one where it looked like it all went right but in reality it all went horribly wrong.

Breaking up is hard to do, guys. Do you text, do you call, do you fade away: The possibilities are endless, and all completely the worst. Breaking up is hard to do. Anne Hathaway recently ended a very significant relationship in her life -- with her longtime stylist, Rachel Zoe, who outfitted her on the red carpet for 10 years, a source confirms to Us Weekly. (The Hollywood Reporter was first to break news of the split.) Since parting ways with Zoe, the Les Miserables Oscar winner, 31, has instead been working with veteran stylist Penny Lovell, who also dresses Rose Byrne and Orange Is the New Black star Taylor Schilling. She reportedly [...]...

What more has Courtney Love possibly got to share with us, and how will Steve McQueen fare at the Oscars? These are just a few of the topics that will set tongues wagging in the new year

Courtney Love's memoir
The question is not so much "what will be in Courtney Love's book?" as "what could possibly be in Courtney Love's book that she hasn't already spoken/ranted/raved about?" Still, her self-titled autobiography has been described as "too crazy not to be true" and should provide her definitive take on her time with Hole and her doomed relationship with Kurt Cobain. It will also, hopefully, spill previously unspilled beans on her relationships with Billy Corgan and Steve Coogan. Oh, and according to an interview she did with Rolling Stone, it was inspired by Russell Brand's My Booky Wook. The mind boggles. Tj

Breaking up is hard to do — and so is singing about it! New York — Breaking up is hard to do. That is, unless you're "Mad Men," which this season has been free-and-easy in its fragmentation.
By now Peggy Olson and her radical beau are splitsville. So are Pete Campbell and wife Trudy, who caught him philandering one too many times.
Twice-wed Roger Sterling, currently solo, saw his knotty relationship with his mom torn asunder with her death this season, and he's alienated from his daughter and grandson.
And don't forget the latest romantic entanglement of Don Draper, whose marriage to winsome Megan seemed on suicide watch as, every chance he got, he scorched the sheets with downstairs neighbor Sylvia (wife of Don's presumed friend Dr. Arnold Rosen).
The only notable coming-together: the stormy merger of Sterling, Cooper, Draper and Pryce with former rival ad agency Cutler, Gleason and Chaough, which has assembled a bickering band of ad execs only slightly more collegial than either house of Congress.
