Separações

Separações begins in a restaurant and ends in the same place. There, we have almost all characters together. Until the end, they are basically in search for love, despite sometimes it's not admitted.

The main couple, Cabral and Glorinha, is surrounded by friends and family living the four steps of their separation: denying, negotiation, rebellion and accepting. They were married for twelve years, but one day he asks Glorinha to quit the relationship for some time. When she's away, working on a friend's play, and with another guy, Cabral realizes he could not live without her. Glorinha gets in doubt: she keeps on in a new relationship, she chooses her freedom, or she gets back do Cabral, who she still might love.

With a bitter-funny plot, and perhaps putting some autobiographical facts on it, Domingos de Oliveira makes a good romantic comedy.
