Paco Martínez Soria excels in this Lazaga comedy with big entertainment and amusement.

Two twin brothers live in the Aragonese town of Tarazona, the rich Pedro married to Julia (Margot Cottens) and her daughter Pilar (Imma de Santis), and the poor Lucas, married to bossy Mariana (Maria Isbert) who continually ruins his lif and without children, both alone live to go to Madrid and have some parties. Pedro has invented the excuse of a non-existent illegitimate son, which materializes in Jorge (José María Guillén), to get money from his wife and to be able to go to Madrid from time to time to see him, and he advises his brother to do the same, that reason for he invents a daughter with the same condition and materializes her in her friend, the Revista dancer Rosina (Carmen Cervera). The situation becomes complicated when Pilar, Pedro's daughter, decides to marry Jorge, who appears to be his half-brother, and Lucas meets his fake daughter Rosina when he goes on tour to Zaragoza.

Last of the ten comedies starring Paco Martínez Soria and directed by the prolific Pedro Lazaga, his first great success was ¨The city is not for me (1965). The starting point of ¡Vaya Par de Gémelos! Is the play ¡Guardame el secreto, Lucas! By Dionisio Ramos, and the result is yet another comedy, largely filmed in Paco Martínez Soria's hometown. There's an interesting sociological study of the prototype of a successful man and a failed man; showing us not only the versatility of an actor but also the explanation of how the same environment can produce such different people. Filmed during the democratic transition, the film had a great success with the public, proving to be unanimously the best of all the comedies filmed about it. And in fact, the film is quite good and contains sparkling and mischievous dialogues with many strange situations that are acceptably complicated. With special mention for the sparkling and pleasant dialogues that are established between the two brothers sympathetically played by Paco, and technically very well it turned out since both appear arguing in the same image on the screen. Starred by the always sympatheric and enjoyable Paco Martínez Soria. He started playing supporting roles in many films until 1944 when he returned to theatre as an actor and entrepreneur. His name achieved some fame between 1942 and 1944, when he was named director and first actor in the theatre company of Teatro de la Zarzuela. He returned to cinema in the rolesstudd in 1950s. In 1965 he was very successful with the film La ciudad no es para mí (La ciudad no es para mi or The city is not for me) directed by Pedro Lazaga. From that moment on, his screen character as an affectionate country bumpkin, headstrong old man did not cease to appear in films until his death with his friend Pedro Lazaga.

The motion picture was adequate and professionally directed by Pedro Lazaga. Lazaga directed various film with the popular comic player Paco Martinez Soria . • Trivia
The main music theme is recycled from París bien vale una moza (1972), and the prologue reuses the slow version of the theme from La llamaban La Madrina (1973), all by Antón García Abril.
      • Goofs
About 4 minutes and 40 seconds into the film, when Lucas is picking up the packages, the passengers of the train leaving behind him are all clearly staring at him through the windows, revealing that they're all out of character. They're obviously looking at famous star Paco Martínez Soria, not at the uninteresting sight of a random peasant picking up goods.
