A sympathetic Manolo Escobar comedy, performing in his usual style with plenty of charming songs .

Manolo is the captain of the fishing boat "Gaviota", whose sailors are Marcial (Álvaro de Luna), Cosme (Luís Barbero), Hilario (Francisco Camoiras) and whose owner has just passed away. The deceased's will grants ownership of the fishing boat to his niece Andrea (Sara Lezana). Then in Estepona (Málaga) appears the heiress and Manolo tries to win her over. The girl's lack of knowledge of sea matters makes her delegate the matter to her uncle Felipe (Manolo Gómez Bur), a man with few scruples who intends to sell the boat with the help of Zacarías (Manuel Alexandre), the ship's administrator.

A musical comedy with the usual songs performed by the idol of the time Manolo Escobar. A mediocre comedy with a plain, silly, simple plot, including some naughty situations and a bit of nudism; dealing with Manolo and the rest of his boat crew, worried about their future employment, will devise a plan to prevent the ship sale and, in the process, Manolo will fall in love with the owner. One of Manolo's last cinematic vehicles, this time on a low budget but with a number of recognizable Spanish actors who show their usually hilarious acting skills, such as: Manolo Gómez Bur, Álvaro de Luna, Manuel Alexandre, Luis Barbero, Francisco Camoiras and special mention for Mayra G. Kemp, prior to her success as a presenter on the famous contest "1, 2, 3 answer again". Adding some actresses who usually performed in the subgenre of "Destape" (nudism), such as: Silvia Aguilar, Mirta Miller Of course, in ¨Donde hay patrón¨ the catching songs performed by Manolo Escobar stand out, such as: ¨Marinero soy¨, ¨Vivir y soñar¨, ¨Quiero encontrar un amor¨, ¨Marinero¨, ¨Dos luceros¨, ¨Mis mejores canciones¨, ¨El porompompero¨, ¨Canciones del Mundo¨, ¨Que guapa estás¨, ¨Mujeres y vino¨, ¨Canciones del Mundo¨, ¨Niña bonita¨, ¨Tu nombre de Anita¨, ¨La rumbera¨, ¨Viva Almería¨, ¨¡Ay, Caridad!¨, ¨Madrecita María del Carmen¨. Finely starred by Manolo Escobar who began his long career in show business between Badalona and Barcelona , in the Red light district currently known as El Raval with the group called : "Manolo Escobar and his Guitarras" , the last ones were his brothers who shared and helped him in his musical trajectory. In 1962 , Manolo rose to fame with his feature debut : "Los Guerrilleros" by Pedro L Ramírez. From now on , he played a lot of films in which performing several songs , such as : "Me has hecho perder el juicio , Entre dos amores , Me debes un muerto , En un lugar de la Manga , Juicio de Faldas , Relaciones casi públicas, El Padre Manolo , Un Beso en el Puerto , Todo es posible en Granada , Pero en que país vivimos , La mujer es un buen negocio, Donde estará mi niño" , among others . And achieveing the greatest musical hits as his main recording : Que Viva España , it sold estimated 6 million copies .

It contains an atmospheric cinematography by prolific cameraman Emilio Foriscot . As well as an evocative musical score composed by Gregorio Garcia Segura . The picture was middlingly directed by the Stajanovist filmmaker Mariano Ozores, and nothing special. Mariano directed a large number of comedies and in 1964 shot a Sci-fi flick : La hora incognita . As Mariano Ozores wrote , produced and directed the former movie, but was a real flop and he was bankrupt. Then Mariano promised at the future only to make comedies . Although it won prize of the National Syndicate of Spectacle to best actor José Luis Ozores and Best artistic Achievement . Mariano recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . Ozores made with two famous comedians , -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several successful films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨...these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended . Mariano directed 93 films , most of them were comedies , though made some dramas as "Alegre Juventud" and "Las Dos y Media y veneno" with José Luis Ozores. Mariano directed a lot of comedies for the greatest Spanish comedians as Paco Martinez Soria , José Luis López Vázquez , Lina Morgan , Alfredo Landa , Jose Sacristán and the successful duo : Fernando Esteso and Andrés Pajares. The film is only aimed at the unforgivable fans of Manolo Escobar.
