for a part of viewers, it is a Hungarian version of western. for others- explore of a romantic page behind 1848 revolution. for the public of Hungarian films, it is not doubt - the lead character is the steppe, the message is the lost of the golden age of ideals and heroes and the performance of Djoko Rosic as Gyurka is only the sum of a long chain of leaders, dark, strange, unpredictable and far by ordinary people , defeated by the rules of a rude world, his death representing the fall of a period. the poetry of image, the bitter air, the cinematography and the music are pieces of a story who, for the public from East, remains familiar , tragic and the solid link with the inheritance of the past.
