Regular Ravioli Western with tarnished actors , poor environments and functional filmmaking

El Cisco (William Berger) is a mysterious man accused of a hold-up in Dallas town he never committed . Cisco is the the toughest gunfighter , the fastest gun in the West with a reward on his head : 5.000 dollars , and he seeks for vengeance against the traitors and to smack down the enemies he sets up a caper . With the help of a doctor (Nino Vingelli) and an undertaker he pretends to be dead. Things go wrong when his enemies , corrupt Deputy Sheriff Boston (Lamberto Antinori) and a powerful banker (Tom Felleghi) find out his death is a fake and El Cisco is arrested . Along the way , El Cisco and a band of Mexican bandits commanded by Capobanda (George Wang) plot a bank heist of the bustling location , Calabasas , New Mexico. As El Cisco is relentlessly tracked down until the predictable denouement .

This inferior Spaghetti Western contains a silly and twisted plot , violence , double crosses , shoot'em up and results to be a below average entertainment , and drags at times , balancing in ups and downs . This is a very quirky film, it is, at times, unintentionally fun , and at other times just plain and bizarre , including violent fights . The movie seems out of order and makes no sense . Actually, there is the usual script about a merciless vengeance here and it's not all that hard to follow. While certainly not unwatchably bad, instances of clumsiness and ineptitude abound so that I was often cracking up into scenes with no much sense . The movie's got some corny dialog, but that just makes for more ridiculous situations , which is a bad thing. The flick gets the usual Western issues, such as avenger antiheroes , violent facing off , exaggerated baddies , shootouts , among them . It's a thrilling western with breathtaking confrontation between the protagonist William Berger against the heartless enemies : George Wang , Tom Felleghy , among others . It stars William Berger , a failed second-class actor playing an outlaw who plans a false ploy but when the dishonest deputy and his accomplices find out the trick he's arrested . Unfortunately, he doesn't get to stand out in the film , despite giving a passable acting . Fair-haired Austrian leading man, who appeared in many spaghetti westerns between 1966 and 1987 such as "Sartana in the Valley of Death" , "They Call Him Cemetery" , "Fast hand" , ¨Noose for Django¨, "Jaider's Gang" , among others . He also played several Western as a secondary actor as he had got fame and fortune with his unforgettable co-starring in ¨Sabata¨ as the banjo man , ¨Face to face¨, ¨Keoma¨ , ¨California¨ and ¨Tex¨. He had a reputation for being a rebel and a vociferous anti-establishment figure . Berger's career was also at times interrupted by drug abuse . He had a reputation for being a rebel and a vociferous anti-establishment figure. Berger's career was also at times interrupted by drug abuse until his early death . Support cast is formed by ordinary Pasta secondaries such as : George Wang , Tom Felleghy , John Bartha, Giovanni Ivan Scratuglia and two Eurotrash beauties : Antonella Murgia and Cristina Gaioni.

The motion picture was regularly directed by Sergio Bergonzelli. He was an artisan who made the ordinary Italian subgenres of the 60s, 70s and 80s. As he directed Spaghetti Western : Colt in the hand of the Devil, Cisco, The Last Gun, A stranger in Sacramento , Giallo : In the folds of the Flesh, Adventures: Surcouf, Sea Pirate, Seven in the Sun, Diamond Connection, Terror : Blood Delirium and Erotic genre : Tentazione, Malizia, School of Erotic enjoyment, Joy , Dirty World, Taxi Love, among others. Rating : 4.5/10. Mediocre and run-of-the-mill Spaghetti Western. Rating : 4.5/10 . Mediocre . Only for hardcore Spaghetti Western lovers.

Smoking kills... now put down that dynamite!

El Cisco (William Berger) is wanted for crimes he didn't commit. He is searching the rogues who framed him. Sounds like a movie you've seen a dozen times before, but actually the screenplay holds a few twists and turns in store, thus is is not hard to sit through. The hero keeps explosive cigars in his pocket, pretends to be leader of a whole gang by using dummies with Mexican hats, has a grave digger for one of his best friends and generally is a step or two ahead of everybody else. Still, "El Cisco" certainly is just an average Italian western. William Berger, who usually was no.2 in the cast, is exceptionally the only star here. Since he was a good actor who could do more than just keep up the pokerface, it is one good reason to watch this movie.
