    Double bed, triple bore.

Five sketches ,two of which were made by French Jean Delannoy ,the rest by two Italian ones ; only sketch one and sketch 4 are ,at a pinch, watchable ....

Sequence one is based on a La Fontaine tale (in verses ) , and it is faithful like a dog to it ; it also recalls Chaucer's " the rives" tale ",from "the Canterbury tales " , which Pasolini transferred to the screen in 1972 .Two young men share the innkeepers' room (which communicates with their daughter's little one) ;during the night ,one of the young men joins his sweetheart in her bed, but his pal ,then the mother take the wrong bed .....directed by Delannoy who had seen better days ....

Sequence 4 (directed by Alvaro Mancori )has a touch of black humor; a prostitute has found a new way to make her clients pay without having sex with them .....It's funny (in places)

Sequence 2 is a jumble ,a dreadful mixture of Oedipian complex , a monster roaming around a touristic place and the trite love triangle .

Sequence 3 ,in spite of Michel Serrault ,is a bore ;its only merit is to show French people are gourmets .

Sequence 5, by Jean Delannoy ,is the worst of the lot ;a future brother-in -law (Darry Cowl, absolutely unbearable ) wants to rehearse his sister's wedding ,and educates the soon -to-be groom ;poor dialog by Jean -Loup D'Abadie and over-the -top acting.

The five sequences are artificially linked by customers who want to buy a bed in a shop.

    Nice!

But not all 5 episodes. The first and the last are weak. The episode with Margaret Lee, in which she finally has a real good role and looks sexier than ever, it's the best. On the 2nd place, the episode with Leopoldo Trieste, in which he's the "monster". On the 3rd place the episode with Michel Serrault and Sylva Koscina. In the last episode, which is not great, but very daring for 1965, there is a very young and more beautiful than ever Dominique Boschero.
