My sister and i are the only ones who remember seeing this...OH NO YOUR NOT

I finally found this and I KNOW its the movie that we're talking about here. I don't remember the premise either But I do remember that is was called LIGHTS OUT, it seemed to be a TV special, and it had two VERY SCARY dolls dressed as pilgrims I believe...I remember one scene where the female doll (dressed in white) standing their after the door creeps open and her eyes are glowing green...absolutely terrifying for my age then...want to see this again. I would not be surprised if the film was taken out of distribution due to its scary nature. I think the dolls in the film where bought, inherited because I vaguely remember a scene where they were taken out of a box, gift or something.

This movie has stuck with me since my childhood.

My sister and i are the only ones who remember seeing this-and this wkend i discovered someone else who had seen it. We were all forever affected by seeing this movie. The premise of a doll being able to do human things was terrifying. I have never seen it again and would love to-does anyone know if this is on tape? I have never even noticed it being on tv since.

Still freaky to my memory 30+ years later.

I too have seen this movie and have almost the identical comment. Only my sister and I remember it. It was FREAKY! The memory is so absolute that I wonder that it would be as freaky a second time. Never did it appear again on TV as I recall. I know we looked for years because we believed someone else must witness what we saw. I would recommend from the standpoint of more than a few saying how unforgettable it is. Very certain I would not allow my children to watch without first seeing again. If the movie were available I would make myself watch again. I would either be forever scarred or perhaps find it hokey. In any case, I'll take the risk.

    Lights Out

I remember this movie! I was just a teen and it was on PBS. It was pretty eerie. I used to watch a lot of stuff on that station. I also have always admired Joan Hackett. She had something special as an actress, she died way too young. She was quite mesmerizing in this. I wish I could see it again sometime but so far have never seen it repeated. It's strange that I have remembered that program all of these years. I guess it must have had quite an impact on me, and then, having just read the previous comment, I find I am not the only one! I thought the story was very well done. It started to give me the creeps right at the beginning and kept me glued to the screen until the end.

I remember this as one of the scariest movies I have ever seen.

I seem to remember that this movie was an hour-long British-made TV special and I haven't seen it listed anywhere since it was shown in 1972. The way I remember it is that a woman who runs a doll hospital receives a pair of dolls (a boy doll & a girl doll) from an unknown source and she is frightened by them. This was one of the scariest premises I have ever seen in a movie, and I would like to see it again to see if it is still as scary to me now as it was then, when I was 12 yrs old. After seeing it I put my dolls away and never played with them again. I think in retrospect it is probably too much for a child to watch. I have never found another person who remembers this movie.
